any hear about the house that got struck by lightening and burned down completely leaving the family with nothing but the clothes on their backs?

Yes. It was a family of 5 (three small boys) and another relative. They were all right, though. The story was on thealmatimes.com but not sure if it's still there.

Yeah I saw it later, thanks! From what I gather they are doing ok but still lack a few household things, mainly a washing machine, which can be a big deal with 3 boys!

There's a pretty good community in Alma. I believe people will rally around them and help get them back on their feet in no time.
