This company is closing the apple project and is treating the agents unfairly. They won't lay anyone off, won't give anyone clear answers, and is basically forcing people to take a 2-3 dollar an hour pay cut. They are trying every way possible to block agents from claiming unemployment. If the project is closing fine. but don't hold these hard working agents and their families hostage.

What TP is doing is illegal..
As an agent on the Apple project I agree. This company has never heard of the WARN act. The employer must provide 60 days written notice of a major closing or pay everyone 60 days of pay and benefits.(TP has no benefits) What they are doing can be classified as a constructive discharge. Cutting pay to force you to quit so their unemployment insurance doesn't go up. As anyone who works for them knows they are cheaper than cheap. I think the next class action lawsuit against TP USA is in order |

I only wished the WARN act applied! They are not doing a mass layoff. They are forcing employees to take lesser paying jobs and from what I hear, the other project has been deviating for the past 3 months.
I agree, class action seems eminent, and I'm all in! |

I think they are going to eventually close the whole site.

You will most definity be the last one's to know that you don't have a job anymore when you show up for work and the doors are locked, just as the former BGH employer's did to the employees there. Employer's expect employee's to be faithful concerning our jobs, but when are the employer's ever going to be faithful concerning their jobs? A lot of businesses are closing their doors without notifying employees. Don't be surprised if you don't get paid either! I heard that some of the people who worked there have already moved on to Teltech in Uniontown. Might be a smart move before you all end up fighting for your paychecks and unemployment. Believe me, it can take a long time before those issues are settled.

I agree with all posts. It is true that Apple is leaving, not enough advance notice was given, rumor is Priceline is getting the cast offs, Paul Brunory's position remains intact, though. Conviently a PM job opened on a different project when the word was given that Apple was pulling the plug. For some reason he got it and the people that had seniority on the project didn't. As far as compensation, good luck. I was wrongfully fired for five days, an error on Dawnetta Johns' behalf, I was so happy. Then I got a call back and an apology from HR. I contacted the Better Business Bureau for assistance, yet nothing was done to rectify the lost pay when I had bills due. The second time I was fired was because my new anxiety medication caused me to pass out, face down on my keyboard for 35min(when the phone system registered the call had officially ended), eyes open, before anyone even noticed. Then when a new agent asked my sup if i was okay, they had to check my pulse because it took them ten minutes to wake me. I should have sued, what would have happened if it wasn't just my medication? I could have been dead. So, I had no trouble getting unemployment at that time. Back to the topic, the mandatory deviations were a pain, but you could still collect partial unemployment, which was better than nothing. But if you refused to go home when deviations came around, they threatened to fire you. Telletech is much nicer, overall. Not the dismal gray environment of TP, better training, at least on USAA, no acid bombs in the parking lot (i'm sure everyone heard about that, if you didn't, ask, it's an amusing story), the sups are more understanding, the schedule broker is an amazing thing, if you're late or have to leave early, YOU CAN MAKE UP YOUR TIME!!! Same with taking a day off, so long as you make it up in the same week! No point system, they give you lockers to put your stuff in so you don't get yelled at, heh, or pointed for having ''illegal'' items on the floor. Oh, yeah, and you don't have to look at Sheridan's disturbing pinkie nail, or 'the claw' as we called it. Lol.
The b.s. that TP can pass off as an excuse is that in PA, it is an ''at will'' employer and can fire anyone it likes for no reason what so ever. |

I have never seen a more pitiful group of whiners in my life. The one post that says they went to work at TeleTech cant spell his employers name correctly. I cant wait to see your resume.
