well again our borough will squash this idea 1 why? they don't care about our children. they closed the pool, built a new park , for children under the age of ten. it saddens me to think these people are so old they don't remember what it is like to be a young person. well instead of finding more entertainment for our kids, just hire another cop.

I totally agree with this town not caring one bit about all the children here. Insted of building a better community they think a park that's used a few times a year needs more parking and a band shell? The other park that's not used except by a few locals nearby deserves the extra money insted of the pool that's now gone. A skate park they won't help with because they would rather fine the kids to make more money. They have forgotten priorities!....kids come first!... We are already looking for a new home outside of this town where our children can be kids without getting into trouble because there is nothing for them to do here.Unless they are under the age 10 or over 60. I've already talked people out of moving here. I will continue to spead the news!

This is so typical of these small, backwards PA boroughs. There's essentially no violent crime, so the focus of law-enforcement becomes children over the age of ten. They need some way to justify the number of officers, which is usually way too high for the crime stats. Families should unite against this garbage. Last I heard, this was still a free country, not a police state. If the borough makes the families and children feel uncomfortable there, then they'll find a friendlier place to live. And the borough will be left with only it's rule makers and no one to follow them!
