These cops are morons as is the district attorney. Regardless of whether you think brothels are a priority, this 'investigation' was clearly conducted by people who suck at their jobs. Let's not encourage garbage police investigations that result in wasted money and thus higher taxes to support more mediocre individuals who don't know how to do their jobs. The money concerned should be docked from the investigator's paychecks since they obviously have no problem pissing away our taxes that fund their operations.

Wouldn't it be simpler to get the government out of the business of dictating personal morality, legalize prostitution, and be done with it?

rrww,
Come on now that would be way to easy and would save the taxpayers money instead of spending it. That's not the way our government works. You should know that by now.

See, when the government does it, that's an "investigation" or "sting." No matter what it is - selling drugs, sex, whatever. When private citizens do it, that's breaking the law.

The Founding Fathers revolted over much much less.

why don't the POlice spend their time fighting crime that involves people getting hurt by other people instead of this sort of nonsense. If the good citizen was so appalled then he should simply discontinue his patronization of the joint.

I don't quite understand why this was thrown out from a legal perspective...

So, is the court saying that if the police say, bought drugs from a small time dealer in order to get in touch with a larger dealer that somehow that investigation is invalid?

I will agree that the officers that were involved in this particular investigation seem not to be very good at their job... but I'd be interested to hear why they thought it was necessary to send this guy in four times.... which is not mentioned in the article.

If a crime is being committed and the state did not coerce them into committing this crime... I don't understand why this got thrown out.

Noboby wants a prostitution ring in their neighborhoods. Its a tough crime to gather evidence. Police must be creative. If the informant entered the establishment one time,the defense attorney would argue,only once,that doesn't prove continous activity. Thus a catch 22,the police are damed if they do and damed if they don't. Just remember the criminal element plays by no rules,their criminal enterprise is operated as to circumvent the law, they have their lawers waiting in the wings to challenge the procedures utilized by law enforcement. Thus the citizens of the commonwealth lose another one.Its sort of like fighting your enemy,when you have all the rules and they have NONE.
What's egregious is the judge. Guy gets blown for money. Is it legal here? Entrapment is used all over. How about on the internet acting like a 16 year old trolling for perverts,really old looking under aged sent in to buy cigarettes, booze, horse betting? Where is the outrage about that. You ought to hear yourself folks. You sound mentally lethargic. How can you possibly complain about the DA going after BJ's. Think about it as a public health issue. The john was cautioned to be careful after the first visit, you know, wear condoms. In other words: they are open right now and you can get it bare back. Hey, that remiinds me, what am I doing at this keyboard? Schlong, I me so long!

Whoa, you want a brothel next to your place? Think a second before you answer. Thanks Staties. I just watched a documentary about the whores at a dump in Nevada, where it is legal worrying about retirement (at 65) or that their favorite fetish isn't legal in Nevada! I want to be able to piss away anything I want without pain.

I side with the State Police. Seems to me like the judge must be a regular customer. That's it...keep punishing the police for doing their job. Soon they'll just spend their days at the diner.

Can any of you name one person who DOESN'T know what goes on at these spas?

Really, we all know (however misfortunate), that this online "forum" simply amounts to a joke within a joke. However, is it truly neccessary to bring it to yet another low? Do the residents of the Valley really have so little respect for themselves and others? Reading this, it seems so.

I am the informant who lost his dignity during this exhausting investigation.
I am making myself known because I cannot sit back and take the reaming I myself performed at a cost for American civilization.
Let it be known; I only agreed to assist the investigators after determining that they were dim-witted and were in need of assistance;
that I did not enjoy ANY of the four encounters, and in fact feel humiliated and ashamed (especially after being paid to have sex with TWO women at once-disgusting!!);
that all men should consider becoming an informant and assisting the PA State Pimps, I mean Police, and help rid the state of these establishments.
I would do it again in a heart beat. My only regret- my wife cannot fulfill my sexual needs anymore but that's ok- I stand proud.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Capricorn

Mercury retrograde in your sign will cause some friction between you and other people during coming weeks. Matters that have been bubbling away in the background will come to the boil, forcing you to do something about them. Try not to overreact, nor to create a crisis out of something that's really very minor. You should also keep a strong sense of fair play and pay attention to every little detail.
