Fast Eddie never met a tax increase he didn't like.
How many times has he proposed cutting spending?

"Families did not create this mess, but we are the ones who must clean it up," he said in the press release.
Makes absolutely no sense.
But will anyone challenge him on this statement?

Luckily we have all the new casino's tax revenue or we'd be looking at substantially greater tax increases. So in effect, Spendell has delivered on his promise to decrease taxes using income derived from the casinos. Except the decrease is to future tax increases instead of reducing what we were already paying. How long until Spendell starts spouting the benefits of the increased revenue from allowing table games at the casinos as a way to reduce future increased taxes?

NO NEW TAXES
Lehighton, PA
|
Until the public sector faces the same benefit cuts and pension freezes many hard working private sector employees have, NO NEW TAXES. Public sector benefit reductions would likely solve the need for any new tax increases. FAIR IS FAIR. Time to face the music. Citizens of PA, time to fight back!!! New taxes are needed to fund the huge public sector pension shortfall. NOT MY MONEY!

How about cutting welfare and food stamp benefits. I was behind a lady in the supermarket line who was upset she couldn't buy cigarettes with her food stamps. They needed to get a Spanish translator to tell her that and calm her down. Unreal.....

This guy needs to go already. God forbid you cut spending on some social programs. If a tax has to be raised make it the sales tax, so that everyone pays, not just people that work. You've already taxed the hell out of tobacco. If it's that bad, ban it. Rendell won't do that with all the tax revenues he's already getting.
