Congratulations!!!!!!!!! Amy Fuertas, Gina Rodriguez, and the customer who chased this woman down!!!!
That right there is what Allentown needs, they need more people who get fed up and take matters into their own hands, considering most of the police officers don't seem to do their jobs!! If I was that customer, I would have done the same thing. The Mayor wants to reclaim Allentown, this is the perfect way to start. The three of you need to be commended, you should be recognized by the mayor of Allentown, as a matter of fact, I am contacting his office this morning! WAY TO GO!!!!!!

the cashier should of pulled out a gun and shot her in the face. Then these a-holes would start thinking twice about doing it in the first place!!

Unfortunately it is most likely against company policy to possess a weapon on company property.

It is so nice to shop in Allentown. Odds are you will get a chance to get robbed yourself or catch a robber who is robbing the store.
Yesterday’s paper said that economic growth may have slowed down in the some of the Lehigh Valley but not here in Allentown. Our Drug Sales are hitting an all time high, prostitution is doing great, gun sales are booming, stripped car parts are selling great, the used furniture business has never been better and sales at the Thrift and Pawn Shops are at an all time high. Allentown #1 is for economic growth in the Lehigh Valley.

Allentown a great place to live, work and shop.

GREAT news article! Slowly it's happening... People are getting fed up with the crime and are working to take the city back.

EXCELLENT job to the clerk and the person who chased down the robber. They should be commended!

i am so happy to hear this story. its no dout this was a drug money seeker. i agree that the man that found the robber and the workers should be praised. i am also thankful they were not harmed. i have lived here 37 years and want to move but dont have the money. i pray everyday that everyone stays safe and all the smart a## punks realize they have one life to live and value it and others more than screaming, and cursing at strangers. take your gangs, drugs, and disrespectful kids and go away. we want allentown to be safe for our kids to play.

Let's hope this is the beginning of people finally being fed up with the trash. I believe if the riff raff is stood up to, they will back down. However, we still need to be careful not to get too cocky. We don't need innocent people hurt.

Haven't read the comments yet, but that guy deserves more than a cup of coffee. He deserves lifetime morning coffee! Way to go on the part of the bystander who chased her down, good job.

This is the type of involvement needed to take our city back from the druggies, gang-members, and other trash that have infested Allentown. Both clerks and the customer should be congratulated by the Mayor and APD. Undoubtly, in MAy they will receive the honors due them at Police ceremonies.

It's no wonder crime is rampant in Allentown! It's the only city I lived in where the police force is "invisible". When was the last time YOU saw a policeman ON THE STREET???

Allentown is becoming worse than Dodge City and Fort Apache in the Bronx.

How about the POLICE "taking back the streets" ---not vulnerable, untrained citizens.

Kudos to them. They were brave not knowing what weapons the woman might have had. Sometimes we have to take matters in our own hands.

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Capricorn

Don't take any risks when handling your finances today, because there are strange things going on. Someone may not be as straightforward and honest as usual, or can't explain themselves properly, which leads to misunderstandings and false assumptions. If you're spending money, make sure you're charged the right price and given the correct change. And don't let your wallet or purse out of your sight, in case you mislay it or someone nabs it.
