This proves what an empty shell the GOP has become when a blowhard like Rush is their chief voice of the opposition. The equivalent of Palin as their president in waiting. It's almost scary.... in a surrealistic Atwoodian sorta way.

Alz wrote: <quoted text> Thanks. I know. I'm trying to direct people to the fact that Obama's ideas are Socialist and, therefore, they cannot be good because Socialism just ruins things. That's an educated comment. Not really, just illogical, simple-minded circular reasoning. Just what I'd expect from a Rush parrot. I wonder if you made these comments to make Rush Limbaugh fans look bad, or if you really are as much of a simpleton as you come off with this ridiculous non-statement. In intelligent conversations, "therefore" precludes a conclusive statement, not a simple repeating of the thesis. I apologize in advance for my elitism and liberalism. I form my own ideas; I don't simply repeat those of others.

I woudn't have a problem if Rush Limburger Cheese would discuss, in a rational way, a conservative viewpoint. I grew up on William F. Buckley Jr. and learned plenty from his TV shows. My family was straight ticket Democrat then. Conservatives like Buckley were level headed teachers. Liberals and conservatives respected him and were more than willing to appear on his shows and attend his parties. Why the intense animosity today? You'd think we are in a civil war again! Limbaugh lost me years ago when for too long he focused on only one topic: Hillary Clinton. He had some believing she was as dangerous as Josef Stalin. Hillary a liberal? I don't think so! Me, a liberal? No, I split the ticket. I vote for the candidate, not the Party. There's little difference between Democrat and Republican.

Watch the video "How Modern Liberals Think". It's very good and explains their mindset. You'll see why rational discussions with Buckley are close to impossible these days. I love how somehow the Libruls screwed everything up, even though the Neo-CONS had control of every branch of government for 6 years. You knuckleheads don't even know what the neo-cons stood for and yet you followed them right down the path from 1998 onward. (Take a look at the PNAC doctrine, idjuts, and see who was behind it...see if that stuff doesn't sound totalitarian or fascist to you. It should; it brought us spying on and torturing American citizens.) And by the way, I hate to break it to you, but this country has been socialist since the 1930's. Otherwise, you wouldn't have highways or half of all modern amenities that are a direct result of the Space program...from velcro to these here internets...to mention just a few things you enjoy thanks to everything that's happened since the New Deal. Keep following your drug addict in lock-step. It's easier than thinking. But the next time you look at your teenage children/grandchildren, just be thankful they don't live in a Caribbean country where dirty old men like Limbaugh can diddle them for a price.

listen to what Rush has to say, this is America, We have the right to have free speech, If we dont agree with Rush turn him off, this has all been taken out of content of what was really talked about. I thought Obama said he had so many friends and wanted to listen to all ? He even had shady friends like Bill Ayers that once was a demonstrated marched in the 60s blew up places in our country, and WE AMERICA listen to some shady looking Characters and still spoke and voted for OBAMA and yet he is going all out to take on Rush over free speech even down to comercials. I have been a Democrat and Obama is really confusing me he says one things and does another. I am not a Rush fan, but he has a right to express himself, I am and will always be at the interest of what is best for my country, not what is best for what one person says is right. He is doing a blame game Politics is over he won what is it in him that he thinks he can and will make all think he has to have complete control of all when we all know many will have different Opinions.. I have noticed one thing anything negative written on a thread about Obama gets lost???? He extends his hands out to Muslims countries and cant extend his hand to A Republican or a citizen in the USA??

Simply put Rush is a blowhard drug addicted money monger. He is only in it for his own enrichment. He appeals to the bigoted evangelicals and rednecks. The poorly educated and the wingnuts supply the rest of his following. These people who follow Rush are the lowest common denominator of America. So, Just ignore Rush and let the simpletons and bigots make him richer.

Rush doesn't want - along with they rest of the conservative party - a Socialiezed America - that is nor what the founding fathers intended and what we have fought for many times..... Obama is not the answer people - Spending another 1 Trillion is not the answer.. Free enterprize and Government not owning everything is the answer - along with God of course.

Rush Limbaughs popularity is a testimonial to the reactionary stupidty of those who subscribe to the neo con ideology. Their fear and ignorance and pathalogical arrogance has led to a complete reality break. These people have been in control for the majority of the last 30 years is anyone surprised were in the mess we are in now? Though im sure these 'Masters of Denial' will assure us its all Jimmy Carter's fault....

It won't work and they'll spend another trllion, which won't work either. The only thing left to say is "Sit back and enjoy the slide"......

Conservatives have ended the dialogue with Liberals by being so fixated on their agenda: abortion, war and lowering (federal) taxes. Liberals ended rational dialogue by coming off as having a superior intellect. It's above them to talk with Conservatives. Talk with not at. Imagine seeing a calm conversation between a Southern Baptist and a Unitarian about religion. It'll never happen! Our economy and society are collapsing and all most of us can do is argue by throwing empty slogans around like a bunch of kids! Clean out your spare rooms Americans, we will have homeless relatives moving in! Too ARE YOU HIGH. Settle down. Learn how to use spellcheck.

We are in a global economic crisis which affects everyone, stop the childish, partisan finger pointing.

I'm completely informed because I'm not blinded by liberal lies. Maybe you forgot that the economy was on a 60 plus month in a row growth at the time that the Dems took over. It was only a matter of time that the housing market was going to crash due to the lib mandate that every person has a right to own a home. Millions of loans were made that people knew they couldn't pay back, they defaulted, then the banks defaulted and the dominos kept falling...And to think, Obama was a lawyer for the first lawsuit against a bank to force them to loan money to someone who couldn't afford it. Way to go Barry!!! You Rock!!....

You're missing whole pieces of the puzzle, like CDOs, CDSs, over-leveraging, predatory lending, lack of regulation and SEC oversight. What is happening in the GLOBAL financial crisis is far more complex than irresponsible people defaulting on their mortgages. On top of that, the Dems were not in charge of things. They did not have the sixty votes to overcome Republican filibuster, nor the needed votes to trump a presidential veto. Stop relying on partisan hacks like Rush and Hannity for your information. There are some excellent sites if you care to read about economics, or even brush up on civics. You seem to be very confused.

Amazing how some weinies listen to an obese drug addict upset because he's losing a tax cut, work themselves into a robotic trance, and beleive a miniscule majority of Congressional Dems had the ability to overide vetoes or trump the will of a GOP president.
