Was I sitting in the wrong place in the stadium? I could not hear anything Dylan was singing. The band seemed great but the whole thing was so loud I had to keep wadded up napkins in my ears. The loudness of the music seemed to blot out what was good about it for me. And if Dylan is the poet of rock n roll, shouldn't I be able to understand what he's saying during a song? I left early....(And I thought it was crazy that young kids were down on the field. They got their ears blown out...there outtabealaw...
Dissapointed

I also left early. Willie was so so. Mellencamp was great. Dylan put me to sleep. Coca Cola Park should definitely host more of these such events. A great night out and the weather was perfect too.

I can second the music being loud, I was able to hear the concert from my apartment near 4th and washington st. I did not mind being able to hear it . I got a free concert.

That was probably the worst written review I have ever read. I don't take issue witht the perspectives, it is the writing that I take issue with. Very ...uh...pedestrian...

Who would have thought that when I went to see Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, and Bob Dylan, I would have said at the end, well thank god for John Mellencamp.

They have all been performing for almost thirty years or more. You get what you paid for. Dylan is limping along on what might have been. You couldn't understand him? Then he was his old self!

I could only take about 5 Dylan songs before my ears started bleeding. He was BRUTAL! Thank God for John Cougar!

Willie Nelson was a soft touch to start with . Mellancamp is a man to bring any crowd up and singing . Now Dylan is something that is a closed chapter did not understand one word had to stop for some asprin on the way home from him. I needed an interperter for what he was babbling. Would be nice Coca Cola park to host more concerts the only real down fall is the smoking section being so large near a kids playground area. That smoke lingers on materials for along time. They really need to address that. I thought that it was excellent about being able to bring the kids have a good night out and not have to worry about the cost of a sitter after buying tickets. The playgroud area should have been open and the smoking contained in another area.

Dylan and Willie Nelson were both good; I thought Mellencamp was the low point among the headliners.

Surprise, surprise....Dylan has never been a singer and will never be intelligible. Willie is just so not concert material. Mellencamp stole the show? Duh!

Mellencamp is an average performer with an average band. The sound man should be fired for trying to deafen the crowd. Totally ruined enjyability of an average performance. Willy Nelson had no life, band was not together. Harp player was lazy. Dylan is NOT a singer - he is a music genius and he and his band were amazing and made up for the other clowns. Opening act was better than Nelson or Mellencamp. Coca Cola Security people were not prepared for this venue. Pathetic, especially for special needs people. Half the crowd seemed to be season ticket holders - how many tickets were they allowed to buy?- let in early. I can see that if there is fixed seating but this was not. Once we were inside it was fine and they were fine. Nice facility. Overall, I should have gotten there at 9 PM. Dylan and his band was the show.

Oh yeah, someone remarked that the Morning call review was sophomoric. I agree.

Mellencamp was great but he did not play his greatest hit ,Jack and Diane, leaving a lot of people dissapointed. Nor did he play his big hit ,I Need A Lover Who Won't Drive Me Crazy. These are the songs people wanted to hear.

John (Cougar) Mellencamp definitely rocked the house!! We only wish he'd have played longer than an hour. The Wiyos and Willie were entertaining in a relaxing and enjoyable way. Dylan sounded like he had rocks in his mouth (his band sounded better). Couldn't take it anymore and left. Aside from that, it was an absolutely beautiful night to be at an outdoor concert, and especially with my sweetie! I hope Coca-Cola park hosts more of this type of venue. It's a great thing for the LV region!
