Dwayne, this certainly doesn't surprise me. You are not supposed to question the almighty ELCO administration. I hope you don't have any children in the high school.

In light of all the hoops you have made the administration and specifically the business manager jump through, what in the heck do you expect? You obviously have great disdain for the district, and who needs someone like that around, certainly not ELCO. You happily throw spears publically, but can't accept the consequences of those actions....you are a sore loser…go home and cry in your beer!

Wow. You can spell my name DUH-Wayne, but you cannot sign your own name? Why is that? I predicted that the school district would find a way to get me out of the basketball program a few months ago. When it actually happened and I told those people who heard me make that prediction......at the time they seemed to think higher of the school district and believe that my prediction would not happen. What can I say. I did not make anyone jump through hoops. I asked for information that should be readily available to the public upon request. The district should be making information available to the public upon request and should be prepared for accomodating people who make those requests. You only think that I have "great disdain for the school district" because I do not see things your way. I am glad that you pointed out "can't accept the consequences of those actions".....that means that you understand my point entirely and this actually was a consequence for those actions. Thank you. Just to be sure, let me explain it to you again.....the Commonwealth of PA granted the public the right to request information under the "Right to Know Act".....I exercised that right which was granted by the Commonwealth.....the school district apparently does not like those rights so they levy consequences against those who exercise those rights as a way to undermine people exercising those rights granted by the Commonwealth. There is something wrong with that picture, but you do not see that aspect. So who is running the Commonwealth of PA? The ELCO Administration? It so obvious what went on here and, while I have no idea who you are, based upon what you wrote you seem to be somewhat backwards. How can anyone reason with you? The actions of the school district towards me should make everyone aware that the school district would not think twice against levying consequences against students to get even with parents. Is that really something that is acceptable? You should be ashamed of yourself for what you wrote here. I suspect that is why you did not sign your name.

Wow. Thank you for admitting there are dire consequences for asking the ELCO administration to do the job they were hired to do. That is very honest of your. Now if you were mature enough to stop the name calling and had the courage to sign your name to your convictions we could have an adult conversation.

I don't expect you to respond to Dwayne's comments. I'm sure you find the volume of information to be overwhelming...

Seems to me the taxpayers have a right to have this information provided to them on a silver platter by the pinheads who have been running the district.

Once again we have another coward that uses other people's names in their posts while they hide in the shadows. Get real "Duh". I was shocked when I heard about Dwayne loosing his volunteer position, but I wasn't surprised. I'm sure there will be more where that came from. Actually these actions prove Dwayne is close to something, what it is I do not know, but it obviously has someone in the District scared.

I would like to clarify one more thing ... just because you don't agree with every Board action does not mean you have "great disdain for the district". It's exactly the opposite my friend, it shows how deeply you REALLY care about the future of our children.

Remember to get out and Vote on Tuesday Nov. 3rd! Vote Boyer, Gardener, Houtz, Mark, and Jadell Souders.

Just so someone does not find another reason to lynch me, I wanted to clarify that it is not a volunteer position. I understand that it is paid out of booster club. I believe that everyone working games is paid something. Referees, clock operator, scorekeepers, announcer, game staff, security, etc.

The volunteer work was making right to know requests, reading 200+ pages of financial statements, compiing questions, and begging for responses. The administration got paid by me for providing the statements that I requested and the administration is paid to have this info available to the public upon request. Not simply because I requested it, but regardless of who requests it. But from the way that "Duh" makes it sound and according to the discussion at a recent school board meeting that I heard about where I understand that my name was mentioned in regards to right to know requests, somehow someone has the notion that making right to know requests makes someone extra work and somehow incurs an extra cost. This information is supposed to be available regardless of who requests it.....and from what I gather the administration does not seem to be able to grasp that concept.

Dwayne, you exercised your right to information and ELCO exercised it's right to dismiss you. Get over it! You and the other Save our School cry babies need to move on and get on with you lives. BTW, I do live in the ELCO SD and have school age children.

This may come as a surprise to you, but professionals are supposed to have the capacity to remove their personal feelings from their decision making process. Thank you for pointing out that their are very well paid amateurs calling the shots at ELCO.

Standing up for what is right is not crying. Pointing out wrongs is not crying. Some of us aren't selfish enough to forget about wrongs that have been done to children in the district. We will continue to sacrifice and fight for what is right. If I am talking over your head, please let me know.

Thank you. You do live in the ELCO School District and you do have school age children. And you are going to follow along with the crowd and have an opinion that you don't stand up for because you know that you are going to subjected to consequences even if you might be right. So you bad-mouth me, sign your name with a phrase, and feel real proud of yourself. The school district, whether it is ELCO or any other school district in the state, should not be permitted to levy consequences against you or me or anyone else for exercising your rights to information; rights that are granted by the Commonwealth. That is the bottom line. It just deters everyone, regardless of who they support, from asking for information. You have to admit that this was not a bright move on behalf of the administration to do this right before the election. What were they thinking? If they weren't bright enough to figure out that this was a stupid thing to do right before the election, are they really bright enough to be running the district? And if that inspired you to even slightly question whether or not they might not be bright enough to be running the district, what does that say about you for supporting them?

So, what's your beef with the free flow of information without fear of reprisal?

The taxpayers of ELCO have a right to know anything and everything this school board is doing, but it is apparent, based upon past antics by the board that, there are some who do not want all information to be released to the public.

As should the professionals remove their personal feelings so should those who simply don't agree with a decision. Just because you don't agree with a decision doesn't make that decision wrong. A new school is what was needed and the people who were voted in made that decision. And if you're so for the children as you say you are then you'll work with the decision and help make ELCO a better SD. And thank you for not talking over my head.

So what's your beef with ELCO. You don't even live here. Why don't spend your time and effort in your own town and worry about what's going on there instead of sticking your nose in where it don't belong. Again, for people like you I say get a life.

You're right Dwayne. This must be a conspiracy of epic porportions! To remove someone from the highest levels of education (keeping score for a high school basketball team) because they disagree with a decision must be investigated. Do you really hear how you sound?? Given your posts, I would think you would want to wear your removal as a badge of honor for standing up for all the children in the district. Now who's the bright one? Time to move on.

Hey, sick of hearing it-go read and write on another topic if you're sick of this one. Many aren't, and are entitled to their opinions, as well. I am very concerned about the actions of the Elco Board and Administration, and am not content to stick my head in the sand.

Thank you. You said: "To remove someone from the highest levels of education (keeping score for a high school basketball team) because the disagree with a decision must be investigated." I have been led to believe that removing me was a decision that was made by the superintendent. Isn't he among the highest levels of education at ELCO? And yet he is worried about me as the scorekeeper for the high school basketball team. I'm flattered. Maybe that was a position that was among "the highest levels of education" at ELCO. If he is worrying about stuff like this, shouldn't we be wondering what parts of his job he is not getting done?

Hey "Sicky", you really think you know it all don't you. You really don't get it. The only people that are miserable are those "in the wrong" and/or on the "losing side" of recent elections. And your comment about "moving" ... why?, we want what's best for the kids and lots of us feel we can make a difference and improve the situation in ELCO. No more business as usual in ELCO, and that's probably what bothers you the most. Obviously you have close ties to someone on the current Board.

If you are soooooo smart, why don't you offer some real solutions and stop criticizing those who have a real love for this area and want to make it better. So far, all you do is fire back and hide behind some stupid name. That fact shows a major character flaw and it's why no one will ever take you seriously. Be a man, yeeeesh.(even if you're not)

Oh, and your comment about "cry babies" ... ain't no cryin' here. But I did see some serious whining in many of your recent posts.

No we chose not to move, we chose to vote the liars and cheaters out of office, just like 90% of the district residents. I cant believe that for years these lairs were allowed to conduct business unchecked. I am so proud of all the residents who exposed the lack of character of our elected officials.
