No 1 in the facility knows the residents/ patients like a cna. CNAs r the hardest workers even when we r only one on the floor. boss needs to appriciate and pay more.

Its called cut backs an everyone is feeling it. You want to get paid more. Go to college. Get an education. Do yourself a favor get off this website and hit the books. You want to do LESS work and have more responsibilities then get a degree. Sometimes the grass isn't greener on the other side and sometimes it is. Why don't you find out.

You don't do the patients charting nor know anything about medication. So you don't know the resident more than the lvn. You can't even start an IV. So do you think you still know the resident better? How many times have you actually administered CPR? Do you communicate with the Dr?

I respect the job CNA'S do, any job for that matter, however, the reason CNA's do all the work is because they have little education. If you r unhappy with ur pay then go to college and at least be an LVN..maybe that will make u happier. But, I do have to say that most CNA's are always in a bad mood, of course because all the work and no pay, but honey its what you chose to do...yet u should still be proud u have a job!

I LOVE BEING A CNA... WE R THERE FAMILY ESPECIALLY WHEN NO1 ELSE VISITS THEM. I LOVE BEING A CNA CUZ WE R THE ONLY ONES WHO SOCIALIZE WITH THEM NOT LVNS NOT MED AIDS NOT DONS EVRY ONE ELSE IS ON THE GO WITH THEM THEY ACCUALY HAVE GREAT STORIES TO TELL THEY R WISE N LIVED LIFE AND HAVE GREAT RESPECT FOR. WE R THE HARD WORKERS WHO BUST OUR BACKS WHO EVERY ONE DEPENDS ON WITHOUT US BEING A CNA EVERYTHING WLD BE chaotic.

CNAs do not do all the work. Did I not make that clear. Yes they do an outstanding job, but they do not do all the work. LVNs do alot of work themselves.

Yes we do u try n get up alo of ppl dressed who are dead weight cnt walk alzheimers dementia n people who fight you ready in a hour ..but I still love them i jus feel we deserve more pay n we did go to school for it its called certified nurse aide.. If I didnt enjoy it I would of took the course.

I agree, CNAs should get paid more. Without CNAs us nurses would be overworked and underpaid. I truly appreciate my CNAs <3

SOME ARE VERY LAZY WILL NOT GET OFF THE CHAIR TO ASSESS PATIENTS WHEN CNA ADRESSES A PROBLEM WITH THE PATIENT THEY SPEND QUALITY TIME SUCH AS BATHING,CLEANING AND FEEDING THEM,NOW WHO KNWOWS THE PATIENT BETTER,CERTAINLY NOT THE (LAZY VETERAN NURSE) LVN ALL SAID,CNA KEEP UP THE HARD WORK YOU ARE THE BACK BONE.
