The girl that was arrested, Ariana Munoz, was an AHS Varsity Softball Player at the time of the arrest. The team had just advanced to the 4th round of the playoffs when this happened. She was apparently removed from the team because of the arrest and pending felony charges. The parents had the DA write this letter so the school would reinstate her to the team. It was all done in a crooked manner and she received special treatment which is unfair to everybody else that has been in the same or similar situation. She stood to lose her scholarships as well. That's what she deserves for being out getting high and partying when she knows she has a lot to lose.

How can Armando look at himself in the mirror. He does this as a favor to her mom at the courthouse and hewr dad at the Echo-news. Yet he dont even talk to a family of a murdered victim. A disgrace.

She didn't travel with the team and she didn't play. What more do you want -- her stripped and exhibited in the town square?

Well if the da wrote that letter, he is stupid. Pore girl is just going to get caught in the middle. He just should not have done it.

Barrera is a Lair, He always saying how hard he is on crime. The sent over 2000 people to jail lair. Just listen to Barrera he in is left field.

Why would he write this letter for her knowing that SHE was going to be running her mouth about it. She was telling people that same night how nothing was going to happen to her. It was all a lie about someone taking responsibility for the drugs found. The point is, what was done was WRONG and now it's coming out which is not good being that we are in an election year. The people that have gone to him and asked for some kind of help and were denied, well they are pissed. Why her??? And who cares that she's only 17. She's old enough to make the decisions to be smoking and buying the drugs so she deserves to pay for the consequences that come with it.

Don't think there was enough evidence that drugs and THC belonged to any of the minors. Innocent till proven guilty. Just saying!

When no one takes ownership of the drugs, all who are within reach or in s room as in this case, will get charged regardless if guilty or not. Besides, as she has said, she wasn't there to party, she was there to buy it. Either way, she's guilty. She should really becareful what she says and where she says it cause someone is ALWAYS listening.

she was there is the main thing . You know drugs are in the room and people are using why be around that? Can't feel sorry for her cause she has been out of control for awhile already. Quit your partying and concentrate on school and your athletic career if that's what you wanted. Grow up kid, nothing in life is free.

Here's a good example of murderes going free. This was in the news a few months back. Local human smugglers in Fal. killed an elderly woman while she slept in her house, by losing control of their suburban filled with illegals and crashing into her bedroom as she slept. The feds just this past week sentenced the locals for the smuggling part, but our local DA will not got after these killers under his state jurisdiction. It's a cring shame that the killers will only get 2-5 years in the pen for smuggling and will never have to anwser for the taking of that womens life. She will be the third citizen of Falfurrias that has lost her life to murderers and has gone scot-free under Armando's watch.

i beg to differ with you. you are a fool. let me tell you why i say that. Mr Barrera did not drive the senior in question to the La Quinta. He did not call the police to the room in question.He does not coach the team, nor does he play on the team. He also does not coach or play on the power house team that beat Alice in the playoff game. at the risk of sounding redundent, you sir, are a fool.:)
