post your favorite recipe

here's mine:
1 stick butter
2 heaping Tbls flour
2 cups broth
Melt butter over medium heat in a saucepan. Stir in flour making sure all lumps are gone. Slowly pour in broth stirring continuosly. Heat while stirring until it thickens a bit and the flour taste is cooked out.

I use this sauce recipe in several different dishes - you can use chicken broth and add shredded chicken and simply pour over cornbread; you can take that a step further and add veggies for the best pot pie filling you ever ate,
It's also amazing with beef broth and poured over cubed steaks - sear them first, add cream of onion to the sauce, put mushrooms onions and bell pepper over the steaks and cover with sauce.bake at 350º for thirty to forty mins.

Does anyone have a really good recipe for chestnut dressing? I believe the one grandma used had pecans in it also. It was so good and I am so sorry I didn't get that recipe before she passed.

Vermont Maple Fudge
2 (10oz) pkgs of vanilla milk chips
1 can Eagle Brand Milk
1/2 cup margarine
1 tsp Maple extract
1-1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Combine chips and Eagle Brand Milk in glass bowl. Microwave on high for 2 minutes. Stir and microwave 1 minute more to melt chips. Stir in rest of the ingredients. Spread into 8" square pan. Refrigerate and cut into sqaures when cool.
Can also use chocolate chips instead of vanilla chips.

Can't beat this recipe for it's quick and easy quality and the taste is wonderful.

P.S. I hope I haven't misspelled anything. I can't see this small font.
