I feel that the government is sacrificing the safety of United States residents, particularly those in Michigan, to try to improve their image to terrorists and the world. They want to be fair, and to give legal protection to those whose goal is to kill Americans. I feel if Guantanamo detainees are brought to Standish, or any American soil, they are only inviting extremists activity.
Michigan already has the largest Muslim population outside of the middle-east. Tempers will rise, extremist will emerge and lives will be lost.Why?? So we improve our image? What happened to common sense? What about protecting the American people?
