I know this is extreme, but some of you people just won't be pleased with any other outcome. I think most of us are trying to prevent that. I have contacted my representatives daily either through phone calls, letters or e-mails. If they choose to ignore 80% of American's and push this bill through as it stands, in my opinon they will be responsible for any violence that follows. This bill allows felons citizenship and according to Senator Sessions the Budget Finance Office says this bill will not do what our leaders are saying it will do. I downloaded the bill it is 212 pages long and almost impossible to read and comprehend. What is so hard about proposing legislation that will secure our borders without granting amnesty to the 12-20 million illegals here and allowing a pathway for 20-30 million more? Secure the border, enforce existing laws and go after employer's who hire illegals. The Bill: http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/F... :

The bill must pass!(And it shall pass: if not now, in a couple of years or so) The bill will probably pass in a couple of weeks. The senate voted for cloture today which means there are not enough "nay" votes to kill the bill. It will be brought up again with amendments and will be debated with a real vote. The ploy now is to wear out the public interest. A good friend in DC tells me Congress would rather take the heat now and not during the campaign. They view this as a no-win situation. The system is basically destroyed and beyond fixing. This bill will not fix anything either but before the problem becomes critical again, most congressional careers will be over.

I called both senator's offices today.
Talked to a real person at Burr's 800 number. That person turned very cold when I stated that I would sit at home next election rather than vote for a senator who would sell out his state and country by granting this illegal scum any amnesty. Of course, I used more civil language, but got my point across.
At Dole's western office no one answered. I left a message similar to that given to Burr's staffer. Dole's office did call my home and leave a message, but with no indication of how she planned to vote. I'll be surprised if she even shows up. I think her attendance/voting record is more scant than Wussy-Man-Edwards' was.
I'll call both every week until this bill is either defeated or passed. I will not, under any circumstances, support either if they vote to give a pass to all of the vermin that have crawled across the border in the dark of night.

Fredrick wrote: How or how good the Senators are is a matter of opinion of he individual. I note that the four mentioned are Republicans - I can list four Democrats that "are on the bad side" of issues that Isupport or like. Also, the writer did not offer a solution to his purported issue. My advice to these four is they better pay attention to such comments because we saw the same tactics used on Congressman Taylor. A word to these Republicans, the Democrats are more organized then you think. That is the whole problem Freddy, Dems Against Rep, thats a crock. They are all crooks playing Americans against each other. I wished they would hang every politician in office and start from scratch with a new system. Yes hang, lead would be wasted with bullets. You Dems and Rep keep on going at each others throats while they suck America dry. It won't be long before a country in the middle east has to invade here to save us from the goverment.

Senator Burr "jumped the fence" and voted yea today. Typical of his time in public service, as he endorsed a Democrat in Winston-Salem to keep his house seat the last time he was re-elected there. Time to find a good replacement for the 2010 race.

According to some pools, 80% of American Citizens are against this amnesty bill. And the senate represents us?
