Still puzzled by the occupy Wall Street movement? Well, they obviously don’t like our seemingly bottomless greed and double standards; they reject our Gordon Gekko style capitalism!
A generation is a group of people who share a basic outlook on life shaped by their common age location in history, their common "generational setting." "Youth," on the other hand, is just an age bracket. It's like an empty hotel room that different generations move into with their own baggage, and then soon leave. Sometimes that room swells with sweet music, sometimes it throbs with death metal, and sometimes it's utterly silent. But it's never the same.
Bottom line: All of you Boomer and Generation X parents are essentially unlike your children—and were not the same even when you were kids. And you Millennial Generation graduates are essentially unlike your parents—and will not become like them as you grow older.
Ever notice the blank stares when you tell them roll up the window, turn the channel, or dial a number? Or what about current events? For as long as Millennials can remember, NATO has been looking for a mission, China has been peacefully rising, Brazil has been building shopping malls, and Boomers Bill O'Reilly and David Letterman have been hating on each other in plain view of millions.
No one knows what challenges this Millennial Generation may eventually be asked to bear. Hardly anyone expects them to become America's next "Greatest Generation." But someday you can say you heard it from me: That is their destiny, to rescue this country from the mess to which we, the older generations, have contributed, perhaps a bit more than we ever intended—and, in so doing, to become a great generation indeed.
Frank, after the first paragraph and to the bottom of this article,I agree with you!Don`t know how this happened as we always disagree.Perhaps the fact I am more in line with the WW11 generation ,with Korea and Nam always imbeded in mind? You see,I simply do not care for big gov`t and as a result, what Obummer is doing!

90 billion Obama stimulus dollars went directly to green energy projects. Obama claimed that those stimulus billions would create 200,000 jobs a year in the United States. 16,100 green jobs were created. Not in a year but in 4 years. The 90 billion was spent. What is the average cost/worth of EACH of those 16,100 jobs?

No one likes big Gov't and Obama certainly did not invent it, in fact, with Obama it is the first time in almost a century that Gov't actually has stopped growing --- stop listening to the wingnuz noise machine and think for yourself. Obviously you are not stupid, but apparently stupid enough to think that Obama can, or should, make the Gov't disappear over night! Despite the GOPer-noise talking points, government did grow more, than at any time since World War II, under Gdub and his Republican congress, so where were you all guys and your big talk about ‘the big gov’t’?

HERE FRANKIE.......

By many measures, the federal government has indeed grown during Obama's tenure. Spending as a share of the economy has gone up. The number of federal employees has risen. More Americans are relying on federal assistance.

Spending: Government spending as a share of the economy has hovered around 24% during the Obama administration, several percentage points higher than under President Bush, according to Congressional Budget Office data. It's also elevated from the historical average of 20.7% over the past 40 years.

Nice try Bubba, the huge Obama expenditures are CLEARLY as a result of pulling the economy out of a severe recession and are one time remedial measures - there is a big difference. But you go right ahead talk dog shit all day long - it does not a fact make :-/

Democrats America wrote:
By Dr. Thomas Sowell
The current Occupy Wall Street movement is the best illustration to date of what President Barack Obama's America looks like. It is an America where the lawless, unaccomplished, ignorant and incompetent rule. It is an America where those who have sacrificed nothing pillage and destroy the lives of those who have sacrificed greatly.
It is an America where history is rewritten to honor dictators, murderers and thieves. It is an America where violence, racism, hatred, class warfare and of murder are all promoted as acceptable means of overturning the American civil society.
It is an America where humans have been degraded to the level of animals: of defecating in public, having sex in public, devoid of basic hygiene. It is an America where the basic tenets of a civil society, including faith, family, a free press and individual rights, have been always rejected. It is an America where our founding documents have been now shredded and, with them, every person's guaranteed liberties.
It is an America where, ultimately, great suffering will come to the American people, but the rulers like Obama, Michelle Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Joe Biden, Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, liberal college professors, union bosses and all other loyal liberal/Communist Party members will live in opulent splendor.
It is the America that Obama and the Democrat Party have now created with all the willing assistance of the American media, Hollywood, unions, universities, the Communist Party of America, the Black Panthers and numerous anti-American foreign entities.
Barack Obama has brought more destruction upon this country in 3 years than any other event in the history of our nation, but it is just the beginning of what he and his comrades are capable of.
The Occupy Wall Street movement is just another step in their plan for the annihilation of America.
"Socialism, in general, has a record of failure that's so blatant that only an intellectual could ignore or evade it."
Dr. Thomas Sowell (A National Humanities Medal Winner)
The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are out numbered by the people that vote for a living.
Dr. T. Sowell says it "So Well" and very eloquently...one of my Favorite when it comes to current events and political commentary!

No, I want you to post the facts (or the Libtard version of the facts) if you can. All you do is spout off with no substance to your debate. You always say conservatives are wrong without a shred of evidence to back it up.

Therefore, what you project as fact is actually your twisted Libtard opinion. You know nothing of the truth.

Last week, the journal Foreign Policy published an extraordinary article – not extraordinary because of what it says, but because of who said it. It was written by Aaron David Miller, a lifelong D.C. foreign policy bureaucrat who served as a Middle East adviser to six different Secetaries of State in Democratic and GOP administrations. Miller’s article, which compared Barack Obama and Mitt Romney on foreign policy, was entitled “Barack O’Romney,” and the sub-headline said it all:“Ignore what the candidates say they’ll do differently on foreign policy. They’re basically the same man.” It began this way:“If Barack Obama is reelected, he ought to consider making Mitt Romney his new secretary of state” because “despite his campaign rhetoric, Romney would be quite comfortable carrying out President Obama’s foreign policy because it accords so closely with his own.”

Screw The Both Of Them...

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Sagittarius

You're wearing rose-tinted glasses today, especially when you look at some of the special people in your life. Right now you only want to see their good points and you'll deliberately turn a blind eye to any faults that might be on show. If you can escape from the real world for a day with you-know-who you'll have a marvelously romantic and emotional time together. But do your best to come back to earth tomorrow.
