Eaton Corp. to Lay Off 78 in Belmond

Layoffs are in store at Eaton Corp. in Belmond in northern Iowa. Company officials have announced that 78 workers, or one-fifth of the company's work force, will be laid off because of a drop in demand.

Eaton has about 50000 employees and this is broadly diversified corporation, not only auto related. 78 workers is not one fifth, may be true just for the location.
