Time to take a finance class. When times are good, don't spend but save for those rainy days. How new and big of a house did one buy to have it drop $200,000....Each family should have a back-up plan if one spouse loses theri job...what is yours? Sorry for the frank words but there are people that don't know how to budget and it is time for a wake up call.

That is an idiot thing to write - do you not purchase goods, buy food, need any medication? Can you walk everywhere you need to go? It is not just we the people who drive who will feel the pinch - remember the trucks that bring in all the goods??? It takes gasoline for cabs and school buses etc. I am very glad you don't drive as you don't sound too bright to me.

You are just plain stupid, PLAIN STUPID. thats probably why you don't drive is because you are one that can't afford the high gas prices either. You ain't got nobody fooled but yourself lady.......

What if your fool azz gets sick and need an ambulance.....you won't so quick to not care when they can't get your azz to a hospital because of gas.
That's a very true statement. But we know that this is just a smart behind person that probably don't even care for herself either..... she must have a grocery store in her house somewhere....

Stop eating out so much and cut coupons will help. Stop going to the spa, getting hair, nails and toes done. Also stop playing golf and going to starbucks feeding that caffeine habit. All of these things will help. Stop living high on the hog.

Why is everyone giving attention to Ms White? Whoever this person is, makes these stupid remarks in all of their posts and only does it for the attention. If you stop feeding the idiot, the idiot will go away.

As far as this article, cutting back on some of the simplest things can save you more than you may realize. I started clipping coupons about 6 months ago and really started looking at the sales ads and you would be amazed at how much I save when I go grocery shopping every two weeks. My average savings after handing over my coupons and trying to buy only things that are on sale (not always possible), my average savings is between $20 and 30$! That is almost a tank of gas! I am also getting me and my husband in the habit of consolidating our trips and we are really noticing that our tanks of gas are stretching a little longer. Several short little trips will kill your gas mileage.

Just some thoughts...

You are right Ron. Most of us are trying to keep our head above water. I am like this person. I have three kids and trying to feed teenagers can be costly. Also gas is like water it runs out so quickly. I have stop taking so many trips and try to buy in bulk which is cheaper. I am now going to do the coupon thing. Saving $30 dollars at the grocery store will help. Also it is hard to save when everything is going up. When do you have extra?

Mrs. White, You should care.

We have stopped eating out, well, not completely. We go out one time a month. I also buy less snack food.
We cancelled the Washington Post paper, it is full of propaganda anyway. There are little things you can do every day to save a dollar here and there.
