Rice County man found guilty of kidnapping

A Rice County man could spend the next four decades behind bars. Jurors convicted James Thurman on seven counts including kidnapping, aggravated battery and burglary late Friday night.

First of all, if you hadn't seen your children in several months, you would do anything just to see them. She wasn't in any harm, whatsoever. Her father just wanted to see her, and unfortunately the Thurman name gets tossed around a lot in the little town of Lyons. You do not know either the people, or the situation so you have no apparent reason to call them a worthless bunch of people!

It didn't need to be done by force, or under the influence of drugs. He does care for his daughter, but needs to think before he acts and do what is best for his child!

If you know Thurman's as people they are good people.I have never had a problem with any of them.Always nice and polite.That little girl was in no harm.Just whats up with Lyons Police?A real kidnapping happened the weekend of the fair on the square and they do nothing at all but call a child a lier.A Daddy wants to see his baby and its kidnapping and they want to lock him away.That is so wrong.Lock up the real crooks
