This is beyond tragic. Why do things like this happen to helpless, innocent children while law-breaking and worthless humans seem to live forever? My deepest condolences to the family.

The father has a broken leg and the youngest daughter suffered no injuries. The family has lost everything. They announced yesterday on the news that there is a memorial fund through any TN and KY branch of Bank of America. The fund is the "Smallwood Family Fund". Please spread the word and keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

there are alot of questions that go unanswered. you can only imagine what is going through every mind that has dealings with this family. i know mine is heavy...i hope that they get to the bottom of this and find out who or what did this and why it had to come about...if there is foul play involved i hope justice will be served even though it will not bring back the children. the memories we have of the children will live on and always be carried with us eventhough we will only hear they're laughter in our dreams and see the smiles they produced when we think of them.. they will continue to put a smile on my face when i think of all the time with them. i have to say ....if you have childern hug them kiss them hold them for you never know... life is an undetermind journey...

First, The soldier menchened in this story was NOT the father of the two kids that died in that fire.
Second, He was the first to jump out of the apartment to leave his wife and kid and two step kids.

There is a fund for the boy that died. He is not a Smallwood. The Sam Feagan Memorial Fund has been set up at the Bank of America branch office on Main Street in Snellville, GA. Please don't forget him.

Why would a man that was sleeping NEXT TO A CHILD in the same bed yet jump out a window without her?????

He jumped out a window without taking anyone with him. Mother saved the youngest child and then went back in to get to her other children. All while walking through fire being burned!!!!!
