Did anyone else end up seeing that horrible display of muscicianship at Waddys Friday night when power play was there. How many times do we have to listen to a band performing songs while playing along with a computer aided jukebox in teh background. and what the hell was up with all that hip hop sounding stuff where they barely sing and the vocals are mostly on the computer...and all that for $2500 a night and a $5 cover at the door. No Thanks, Not in my Bar.

They can't be all that bad if they are getting $2500 a show. How much does YOUR band get?

I'm sorry but no COVER band can justify $2500 a night plus the door. Thats the kind of money that promoters pay regional touring bands signed to record labels. Just sick of having to pay a cover charge to see a cover band and then when you try to meet them between sets, their jerks to everyone. Maybe someday The other bar owners in Siouxland will see the light. Till then, I will boycott them and they will never play my bar again.

I'm sorry...I wasn't aware that PowerPlay couldn't handle criticism about their sound, and performance. And you know where you can stick your Bandcamp buddy. There are so Many Talented Bands out there that play very well and put on one hell of a show. What makes your band feel that it deserves that kind of Money as a Cover Band? I remember when I was told that Waddy wouldn't pay more than $600 for a band. I guess you got him Duped huh. You keep doing what your doing and sooner or later the people will get sick of paying a cover charge to see you play other peoples music. Just like Randall Zwarte band. But Atleast Randall has originals that are pretty good and they play the music themselves. Have a nice day Boys

bestworst band ever. Have you ever stepped inside of a bar when Powerplay is there. It is always packed. I think they sound fine. Hate the music they play. Love the tail that Powerplay draws to the bar. I will pay 5 bucks at the door anytime Powerplay is playing with the hopes of burying it in something by the end of the night.

Oh btw Bar Owner. Does the bar owner that is paying them has had them numerous times. Do you think there is a reason for that? That band makes the bar tons of money. How do i know this? They keep having them come back. It would be a bad business decision to keep a band coming back when you are not making any money off them. I sense some resentment in your comment. Makes me wonder is there is some jealousy of if your pockets are not deep enough to pay the fee.
