The race for Common Pleas judge in Franklin-Fulton Counties: Er...

Full story: Public Opinion

If there's a dark horse in the run for county court judge, it's Eric Weisbrod. The Waynesboro man has been quietly practicing law outside the political arena since moving here 12 years ago.

Why wasn't the same opportunity offered to the others for a Q&A session in this paper?

Grumpy's point is excellent. Between now and May 19 the Public Opinion needs to afford the other candidates for Common Pleas Court judge the same opportunity (and column inches) as Weisbrod had.

These types of questions were asked at the debates. I am surprised to see a full article on just one of the candidates. I like that Eric has not been flashing his money around and shows his real values not running on his name or playing unfair. I hope to see him and Wilmot come out on top.

Over the years of serving Franklin Co. the others have had plenty of opportunities to speak, and they have. Some have even put their own foot in their mouths, imagine that? Mr Weisbrod seems like the kind of guy that brings FRESH ideas to the area. This County has been much to stale for way too long. Im voting for Eric Weisbrod. The good ole boys and girls need to understand that not everybody is IN and not everybody wants to be IN.

For all the voters who are fed-up with the same political establishment candidates winning election after election then Eric Weisbrod is your candidate for Judge. Eric is just a regular fellow who takes care of his family and contributes his time to assist other organizations in the community. Eric just also happens to be an attorney who is running for Judge. I feel it is time to start electing individuals who are not part of the establishment so we can start to change the political environment that has been in place in this county for the last fifty years. Please join me and vote for Eric Weisbrod. Also, a vote for Wilmot is a vote for change as well. Thank You.
Thank you

This candidate is refreshing. Let's face it, the other candidates have forced their way into the media spotlight. I'm glad the PO did a little more investigation on the candidate who doesn't have every politician writing a superficial letter of praise. He appears to be well spoken and thoughtful. Eric Weisbrod has my vote.

Sounds like a good candidate to me. Adding at least one judge outside of
the courthouse row offices makes sense.

We will publish a separate profile/interview with each of the candidates. We don't have space to run all four on the same day.

Of course the PO Editor will have to post something about the other ones. You can tell who their chosen ones are! It is all crooked!!

Just like the ad that was run yesterday stating that Redding and Plum are both Republicans. Redding is a DEMOCRAT. She will tell you what you want to hear just to get the position.

I have a question, why is she not running to be a Judge if she is so knowledgeable and qualified??

As much as I hate to say it about our society --
The candidates spending the most money will probably
win. UNLESS, we as voters want to "buck" (no pun
intended) the idea money buys vote...
Ask Krom on your questions to her when she entered
her own practice and experienced ALL that comes
before a judge? Not just DA ?? Who cares other
county DA endorse her??

Thank you, Eric, for taking this opportunity to show us your "stuff." Your answers were well thought out and concise, not to mention practical. A vote for you would be a good one. Best wishes.

Before people post things in here or anywhere, they should know the facts....for example, Carol did not tell the PO that she was a Republican!! She was never interviewed for that article. This was an article done by the PO unless Plum had input on his portion of it! Quit throwing dirt when you don't know what you are talking about!!

Did I hit a sore spot!! Before things are written in the PO they need to be correct on what they say, not what they feel like saying. I think you need to reread what was written in yesterday's paper. It needed to specify that Redding is a DEMOCRAT. You know exactly what I am talking about. Dirt comes along with Mr & Mrs Redding and you know what it doesn't wash off!!

Regarding the "dark horse" label...just remember the 50:1 shot that just won the Kentucky Derby. It is not always the candidate that outspends the field that wins. I think that if you are looking for overall qualifications of a well rounded candidate that can offer some fresh prespective and ideas to the job, Eric Weisbrod is the obvious choice. My choice for Jude is Eric Weisbrod, "The People's Candidate".

I wonder if Carol Redding has heard the song that includes the words.."dirty deeds and there done dirt cheap" Truth hurts doesn't it,Carol??? Not as well liked as you thought.

Interesting ... Redding never denied her political affiliation .... Plum denied his criminal involvement. Plum's dirt is his own making.

I care very much that other DA's endorsed Angela Krom for Judge. It certainly goes alot further than a dead man's wife, and a few obscure row officers.
