Does anyone know about the Detention center there in Ocilla? What type of people are there. Any news from there? Just wondering if he was safe.

I worked there from 2005 to 2006,and was a Lieutenant when I left. During that time it was a safe place.

I work there now and it is a very safe place. Keep the rules and show respect you have no problems as in any facility. |

I'm concerned about the treatment of inmates there, The officers are physically abusive to the inmates. anyone who knows about it needs to tell it . They need to stop that abuse .

mr, will these guys are not being treated on fairly.most of them will tell you it is better then anywhere they have been.it is safe there they have a full time cert team the only one in the state of ga as for as jails go.the officers are no where near physically abusive there,either you where and inmate there who was disrespectful to and officer and probably got dealt with the right way and assume they was wrong wre you are going on by they we say.

my fiancee was transported there from houston county and he has no money to buy stamps to keep in touch with me and nobody will tell me if he's been moved again does anybody have any info. on how i can find out if he's still there?

its crazy. My father helped build that place as a juvenille detention center but now my boyfriend is there

My husband has been there since August. There is a number to put money on your phone for collect calls and you can mail them stamps. The county where he was origanally arrested is obligated to let you know where he is.

Does anyone have any info on what kind of services are there? Do they have church or AA groups?
