What about his wife? She is the one who edge him on! The Air Force should kick her out and give her some time also.

I'm Sorry,
I thought Adultry was punishable under the UCMJ as well... It USUALLY results in personnle being discharged or in the case of high ranking officers... Conviently moved away and never allowed to make another rank again.. Just ask a former Vice wing commander from Holloman about that..
She was NOT discharged, and she sewed on the rank of a NCO. A NCO that now supervises and leads young airmen. How does she explain her adultry and the actions that resulted from it???
he will go to jail for a Loooooooooooong time!! He earned it with his actions..
She got a slap on the wrist and the USAF now has a black eye from her....
But that is justice!
BTW..
I don't recall him ever being accused of Adultry... And he was in Korea where friviolous intercourse is as easy as the rising sun.. He kept it in his pants... Why couldn't she?

I stand corrected...

I have learned that she WAS punished for her actions in this matter...
it might not have been a punishment that WE think was strong enough, but it was a punsihment. We can debate it all day, but the USAF did hand down punishment....
I will not offer any more.... Mr. parvilus will meet his consequences at his sentencing hearing.

How do you know that he "kept it in his pants"? Maybe he just used some of the locals rather than someone in the military.

Cause I was there WITH him for 5 months...
I hung out with him.
Partied with him on occasion

I NEVER saw him interested in the "locals" or the "military girls". His standard answer was:
"I'm married and don't do that"

I BELIEVED him!

I was not his best friend.... I was an acquaintenance, and in Korea.... that is all that matters... You are all family at the "Kun"...

so this is what 'justice' is? really? a man get's pushed over board by his tramp of a wife, while he's over sea's. He then commits murder, and gets basically life in prison, and the tramp gets NOTHING? JUSTICE? I think NOT!

Well all i have to say, is military get ready for some more adultry and more crimes as a re-action to adultry, because with Jahaira's so called punishment, it only sends out a message that NOTHING will happen to you if you cheat and crimes are committed from it. SO embrace yourselves for the adultry and crimes to begin, because YOU the MILITARY just set in stone an example to all the others on how they can behave and not have to pay any price in return.

I would love to hear what Smith's parents/family think about Jahaira? DO they feel she got FAIR punishment? I mean afterall, she was the one who was married and cheating with their son, and if it wouldn't have been for her trampish ways, then their son would still be here today!

People seem to forget that Pierre was also married at the time. Everyone is after Jahaira for what she did, but no one knows her reasons. There is a lot of judgement here (although I'm sure you all are perfect people that have never done anything wrong and have the right to throw stones). I'm not trying to stand up for her, adultery is wrong. Period. She has to face God and He will judge her. She wasn't the one on trial, the guy with the knife was.

She didn't care about anybody but herself. With her husband and at least one lover out of the way she moved on pretty quick to one of Smith's co-workers. Talk about havin her cake and eatin it too. She must be laughin her *** off right now.

Here is another example of JUSTICE, guy I was stationed with in Binh Thuy Viernam gets a "Dear John" letter, he was a short timer having only two more weeks incountry before he went home. He tried to get an early out but was refused, so he gets drunk takes a huey crew at gun point to fly him to Cam Ranh Bay so he can get on a "freedom" bird. When the huey lands at Cam Ranh, snipers are waiting for him. He being sobered up during the flight time gives himself up. Military trail gives him 27 years of hard labor in Fort Leveanworth. His wife gets a divorce and moves on with her life obliviouse to the life she ruined.

He might not have cheated on her while he was in Korea but he was known to get around at Holloman. And unless you were sleeping in his bed with him every night for them 5 months at Kunsan you dont really know what he did at night. Like someone else stated you dont know what drove her to cheat on him

Y'all we should not judge but I am hear to set some information straight on the the UCMJ and adultery and GO #1. I was a paralegal in the military for over 13 years and yes...adultery is punishable under the UCMJ but it does not mean that someone will be discharged for it. There are various forms of punishment a Commander may take with advice of the JAG office. She was punished and what punishment she received is between her and her Commander. She did not sew on NCO either....that was removed.

Now for GO #1 while deployed. The general order given in the theater does not say a person cannot have sex, in fact sex is not mentioned in the order. The order states that you may not be in the quarters of someone of the opposite sex. Please go back and read the documents before you assume what it states.

I feel for the child the most in this case....he is the one who lost. I feel for the parents for all parties as they have lost their sons in this case. It is said that our country seems to have lost its sense of morals.....

Killing someone is a major crime called a FELONY, Adultery is a religious law and not a crime at all. Killing someone for sleeping with your wife is caveman thinking. We are no longer cavemen.

So what punishment should she get for committing a "non-crime"? I suppose you think we should stone her to death? Church and State are seperate here in the United States, thank God. LOL

In the military of which she and the other two men involved are members adultery is a crime punishable under the UCMJ. So your entire point is not valid.

Just so YOU know,.
She DID sew on the rank of NCO.
She enters my building quite frequently and as a E-7, I know what the rank of E-5 looks like. She has it on her sleeve RIGHT NOW!
I NEVER mentioned GO#1.. SOmeone else did, and the reason I didn't mention it is because i KNOW what it says can and cannot happen. I am also versed in what REAL regulations say and don't say.
Adultry is handled on a case by case basis between a commander and the accused. I was a victim of it back in 1992. My spouse had an affair with a miltiary member while I was stationed in Korea..(So I do know some of how folks felt)
The member that she had the affair with WAS discharged. His commander consulted me personally to see how I felt about it and what he did. I was in agreement with his decision.
Luckily, we had no children......
She is now my Ex-Wife... THANK GOD!
He went away, never to be heard from again...

She WAS punished.... Just becasue i personally do not feel it was a just punishment considering ALL the results.., Is of NO CONCERN of yours. You will NOT change my opinion of the situation...

She was not punished harshly enough IMHO
He WILL face his concequences soon enough
Another had to face his "maker"
A child is traumatized..

Isn't it enough already to stop nit-picking words typed to make yourself look smarter? Espically when the first statement you make (her current rank) is so blatently mis-informed!
