Was handled flawlessly. Can't remember which City cancelled theirs since last yr. parents ruined this for kids. Events at Washington Park were great, free candy, ballons, games, bouncing castle and ice cream and kids all had a good time. Thank you to Event Planners and Participants. Parade was short but cute.

My child did everything but the egg hunt. Jumped in the Tiger bouncy house 3 times, got his face painted, went fishing, spun the Sonic wheel, ate ice cream, shot baskets...an overall "good day", as he would say. Thanks to all the work and hours put into it by all those who made it possible. We love these community events aimed at our young children.

I know these events aren't exactly of 6 Flags calibre, but it is nice the city does stick with some traditions, and it shows consideration, and a thanks to the community. I'm sure these events aren't breaking the city's little piggy bank. And yes, there are people who help see these events go through smoothly, who donate their time, and hard work. Thanks!

Skuttlebutt wrote: Another waste of taxpayers money. What "taxpayer" money? That shows that you weren't even there and didn't have anything to do with it. You're just a troll trying to ruin a perfectly decent thread. The radio stations, individual businesses, and volunteers as well as donations are what made this event. A lot like the Zoo Boo in October which is even bigger with lots more business participation. If there was ANY public monies used it was very little compared to what was donated and time that was volunteered.
