Just another spoiled athlete. He could kill someone going 101 mph on I71. What's there to appeal?

If your guilty, pay the fine like most of us have done in the past, but of course the "KNG OF AK" is never guilty of anything? He has high priced mouth pieces to speak for him and get him off.

How do you plead not guilty to a speeding ticket going 101? Im sure he was in the middle of a traffic jam at 2:43 in the morning.
As far as his buddy Maverick goes...19 speeding tickets? At what point do they suspend your license? Anyone care to explain this to me? Seriously?

If you read the article it says he was in Vegas the same night. I am not trying to justify his speeding but, people who are late for airline flights and work speed all the time. He is not in the news for crazy things all the time so you can't even put him in that catagory. He was not driving drunk. I think you just have an issue with him cause he is not the first or the last that will be caught speeding in that area. The only reason it got in the paper is because of who he is.

The most usual defense is the officer isn't qualified or his certification to operate the speed camera is out of date, or the speed measuring camera is out of calibration. Maverick probably has his license suspended, but has work driving privs like they give those multi-OVI offenders. More to come I'm sure.

"2008 white four-door Mercedes with vanity license plates ''KNG OF AK''."

Hmm. Not exactly a shrinking violet. When you've got a flashy car and flashy plates, and want to really get it going, what's better than I-71 in the wee, small hours of the morning? Unfortunately for The King of Akron -- the boy who hasn't quite grown up yet--the cops do cruise at that time of the night.

Somehow I think his private jet and his birthday party would wait for him.

There can only be one 'King of Akron'. Everybody worships at the feet of LeBrown. Master Marco and Dandy Don are just wannabes. Money talks and BS walks......most of the time. Marco and Don will be long gone before LeBrown's money runs out. Heck, he has a couple of out-of-wedlock kids who will be growing up soon and........

What a nice smoothe ride that would be, in such a great vehicle he probably didn't realize he was going that fast, and if he did, like you said, where's a better place to let loose.
He's still a good kid, he was speeding, he got caught! Whoop-de-woo!

Years ago, I got a ticket for going 55 in 35 mile per hour zone on route 303, just west of Peninsiula. I decided to go to the traffic court in Peninsula rather than send in the money. It was quite an education. All us miscreants were seated in a room and were called up one at a time to face the magistate. Person after person pled no contest or not guilty. I heard some of the most poorly constructed lies and rationalizations from the mouths of the accused. Ineveitably, each of them paid a fine and some court costs. When my name was called, I went up front and a rather weary looking judge asked me how I pled. I replied, "Guilty". Afterall, I was going 55 as alleged and I knew better. The judge suddenly smiled, looked at the remaining accused and said, "At last, someone with some intergrity". He charged me $10.00 for the whole thing, a much better deal than the rest of the folks got. In spite of the judge's kind words, I did not think that my plea has much to do with integrity. It was merely the truth - I was guilty.

Lebron: I doubt that you will read my post, but if you do, I want to share a feeling I had in that court. It felt good and right to just deal with what I had done. The judge's words to this day remain with me. If you are, in fact, not guilty, fight the charge, but if you were going really fast (whether it was exactly 101 is not important), just deal with it yourself. I think you will be happier in the long run.

He was well under the speed limit.....of his mercedes that is....Hate to see how fast he drives his Lambo...I'd be willing to bet that if each and every one of you owned a nice fast car, you would "test" it out. Give the kid a break, its not like he was dogfighting or something like that

Maverick Carter has 19 speeding tickets in 10 years? His license should have been revoked (or at least suspened) a long time ago.

Good people should be treated better than bad people, LeBron's done a lot a good. If he wants to speed on I71 at 2:30am then I say so be it. He should be treated fairly in court and let him put some of his $100 million back into the economy. By the way I love the license plate.

Go Cavs.

I'm over 50 and have NEVER had a speeding ticket.

Funny thing is, I've never had a problem with being late for anything, either.

LeBron was doing 101 at 2:43 in the morning? Uh, sorry. He was NOT going to or from the airport at that time of night. Planes don't fly during those hours.

19 speeding tix for Maverick? Geesh! The kid should be wearing a nice GPS ankle bracelet by now, don't ya think???

101's a bit too fast. Please slow down.

Maybe invest in race cars like Larry Nance and Brad Doherty.

oh boy LeBron you better slow it down buddy the cops are no fan of high speeders just high jumpers stay within the speed limit so we can watch you run that basket ball court you have plenty of time to speed down the court with out getting a ticket a foul is all you can pick up on the court so King of Akron be careful when you drive.

Daily Horoscope for February 13

Cancer

With Mars and Saturn working in harmony, you'll find the support you need through friends or associates. Someone pitches in to help which will let you take a concrete step towards achieving your goals. There could however be a cost in terms of your emotional and domestic life because of what you're doing. Has responsibility taken you away from those you're close to? Try to make things up in another way.
