Another $55,000 in go-away money for a whiner. Great job, Akeley city council. That was probably the whole year's budget.

It would have saved society from your callous, self-centered and egotistical opinions if your mother would have had an abortion too.

Again, who is really policing the police? There is a long history of law enforcement abusing its power and acting above the law in this country and somehow we need to bring it to a stop.

disgusted1, interesting comments, I assume if I were to read through all previous stories on the corruption that has left the financial and business industries in this country in shambles I will find similar posts from you?? The vast majority of Law Enforcement in this country are very ethical and moral individuals working a very thankless and horrible job.

Very creative post. Bravo. I'm sure your Mom is very proud of you, while she pines away her days smoking crack and staring out the window of her trailer.

Nice. The dirty cop just quits. Move to another town. Abuse the power again. I've got a suggestion on how to stop the abuse of power. If a member of law enforcement is convicted of a crime the sentencing should be twice the usual sentence. Of course the dept would have to bring charges before he quits....I guess it wouldn't work.

Or he quit because this BASELESS accusation ruined any chance he had of doing his job in the area. Remember, he was never charged, so there must not have been enough evidence to charge him. They don't state it in the article, but I'd assume they brought in another agency to do the investigation...one that had no bias for or against the officer in question.

Or, you could ignore all that, and just assume the cop is guilty...up to you. Based on the cop-haters who come on these boards so they can talk big while posting anonymously, I'm guessing most of you will do the latter...

Not half as bad as congressman Kennedy, then they write a book about him.

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Virgo

Be careful you don't wind up doing someone else's work today, Virgo. There are all sorts of little tricks to persuade you to take pity on them, from pretending to be ill to making such a hash of everything that you can't bear to watch for a moment longer. Then you are likely to be asked to put in some overtime, at the expense of your social life. Grr.
