Sure hope this bill passes. Am tired of paying for police protection for the free loaders. And discontinue reporting the HOURS the police will be serving certain locations. Keep the crooks guessin'.

Hey DUMBASS they pay for the police protection with their tax dollars just like everyone else. The state is double charging them that is wrong.

Hey DUMBASS, I guarantee that we pay a higher tax rate in the municipality we live in, in addition to paying for PA STATE POLICE protection. Not begrudging paying for state police, but we ALSO pay for LOCAL POLICE protection; THEY DON'T!!!

Stewartstown needs to consider joining up with southern Regional, and get a real police Chief like Chief Child. George Cunningham is a tax a payer waste he needs to be replaced.

If this bill doesn't pass York City should disband its police department. We can't afford them and they aren't as qualified and well trained as the state police. The state police have the resources to enforce the law and obviously York does not. These other municipalities in our county are receiving better law enforcement coverage than York city receives without the oppressive taxes that city homeowners endure.

And if someone kicks your a$$ in one of these so called yokel areas, you would be the first one to call them. All these areas should be paying their fair share. The Marylanders DID move to these areas because of cheaper taxes. Now EVERYONE will pay more and their taxes will eventually be the same as in MD.

Departments like Stewartstown and North Hopewell are PART TIME police departments. THINK ABOUT IT
Would you want a PART TIME doctor to operate on you.
Let's put the money to good use with REAL police departments

Part time as you put it police officers sometimes work full time at other jobs because of low pay. Just like some firefighters and EMTs.

and depending on your location and the nature of the crime you will wait, and wait, and wait for PSP. Adams County has one PSP on duty during the night. If they are in Fairfield and you are in New Oxford, that's a 40 min trip, if they aren't already busy on another call.

Sorry clown, but when YOU are paying higher taxes, like the remainder of us, for LOCAL police protection, PSP WILL NOT travel to your dump.
Try the National Guard! Pay up and shut up!!!

It will still be handled better when they get there, no B. Fife's in this group.

Daily Horoscope for December 30

Pisces

You're thinking along very inventive lines today, which is brilliant if you're trying to decide what you want to achieve in 2010. Get out a notebook or diary and start jotting down your ideas, so there's no danger of forgetting them. Discussing some of your plans with someone you respect could lead to even more brainwaves, and will assure you of their moral and emotional support.
