Just what we need, another same-only-different, franchise/chain with stamped-out, cardboard-cutout, uninspired, factory-made, nearly food.
When will any serious entrepreneur get the message that we do NOT need more of the same here.
We need a diner. With booths and tables and waitresses who know "what's good today". A place where you can order breakfast any time and you can get a meatloaf dinner, hot roast turkey or beef sandwich and mashed potatoes, chicken croquettes glued to the plate with yellow gravy and mashed, chipped beef on toast, etc.
I know, you think I'm just another carpetbagger who misses his yankee food. But there are enough of us here to make someone a LOT of money, and while I have acquired a taste for BBQ and grits, it's time for my neighbors here to branch-out and accept other cuisines too. Where are all the enterprising cooks and restaurateurs?

Something like that would be different form what has been the norm for 200 years, thus we must shun it and then blame the carbetbaggers and uppity negroes for poisoning our way of life. (Please note sarcasm.)

Seriously, does Aiken need MORE fast food? Can't we get a decent inexpensive diner? I am tired of chain eateries and the downtown ones are too expensive for the quality.

Although I have never been dissapointed with Zorba's and that Italian place next to Goodwill and Fred's has excellent sandwiches.

Daily Horoscope for February 13

Gemini

This is a good time to take stock of your actions and the direction you're going in. Are your efforts getting you anywhere or leading you astray and scattering your energy? If you're putting in the work but not moving forward, you're not on track. The old adage 'cut your coat according to your cloth' is good advice. Be simple and purposeful and don't waste time with things that get no practical results.
