I think there could be other solutions to the traffic problems. Perhaps a highway from the West side up the canyon and connect with H2.
Then have large parking garages at main exits towards town and trams or buses to take the people into town.
They started doing this a while back in many European countries and at first, they hated it, but now, they love it. It also increases foot traffic for shops and restaurants. Let's face it, parking downtown in a booger.
Some of the streets downtown, should be closed to traffic all together.
A few years ago, a couple of students from the college came up with an amazing solution to the traffic downtown. It involved less stop lights and better flow. Mufi shut them down immediately as his train would be useless then.
I think with the amount of intelligent people on this island, we can come up with much cheaper alternatives to the traffic. We just have to think outside the box for once.

You are correct! Honolulu has the shortest blocks in the country. Therefore, traffic lights are every 300 feet or so. The bus stops on each block thereby stopping traffic flow. Heck, even the bus stop locations need to be relocated. Seems like the bus stops were placed before right turn on red were legal. There are many things that can be done to alleviate traffic but the city traffic engineers are beholden to Mufi's train.

Oahu residents had OVER 140,600 "NO" Votes on the "steel wheel on steel" question, or about 47.5% voted AGAINST this flawed train scam! If the new Yankee Stadium build cost was about $1.5 billion for the Steinbrenners,

Reagan & Bush tenures then the democrats get us out of it. Ie. President Clinton and now Obama (in the works) if President Obama can get us out of this mess he'll go down as the greatest President of all time. I thought the job that Clinton did was great, too bad he had so many side issues. For Hawaii the Democrats act like Republicans & vis a versa.

Can you please explain why your boy O has ran up a deficit larger than all preceding adminstrations together? And to you, that is okay?
