Hauntings in Laurelville Ohio

I am friends with the woman that is wanting to open the Bed & Breakfast in town. At the old Wintersong Village. She has told me about some strange happenings there. What I would like to know is, does anyone there remember anything that might seem strange to them??? If so I would be very interested in hearing about it. Maybe it was something that someone heard about growing up in the community....I am just very intrigued....And excited for my friend. I do believe in displaced spirits. And I am wondering what the history of the old building was. I know that it was a Nursing Home too. But I would like more info. Please. Thanks ksp2260

I indeed did hear something when I was there. I have taken pictures there but yet seen nothing but I have taken recordings and HAVE heard things.

in the late 1980's thier was a fellow from poland if i remember right, he had serial number tatoos on his arm from the hollicost, he always talked in a language knowbody knew. wish i could remember more. a woman with the last name of hoover ran the home then.

I have came across the man's you are speaking of. I do believe it is Demetris or something like that. I wonder how he ended up in Laurelville ? Along way from home for sure.I have heard locals speak of this man as quite the wander. I often wondered what he was in search of?

that name does sound familiar, i think i heard something about a daughter who put him there, there was also the Vet. home in town.

Is this the new restaurant on the corner of Thomas Ridge and 56? It's called Ridge(something) Inn? The Big Gray/Blue renovated house? I just moved to Laurelville in last month and have been telling my husband we need to go have some dinner and check the place out. Sounds interesting.....

that is funny! I have lived here all my life, and don't know who you all are talking about! Yes that is the house they are talking about... I guess it is pretty good, but I have never atre there... good luck, the ghosts might come out and get you...I guess they don't know what rednecks are..lol

Angel, The restaurant called the Ridge Inn has benn open for a few months now and it has never been renovated In fact I was helping out the owners move stuff in.Now probably the antique house (The Kelea house) has been renovated

The place where the hauntings are is to the west of the school house, not the old site of principal Dean's house. It is the old nursing home.

Thanks fire for letting people know that it is not the new restaurant.I would hate to think someone would not go there because of ghosts. I have been there and the service and food was wonderful.
As far as the nursing home goes I think the new name will be "The Shady Rest B&B".

What kind of restaurant is it? I haven't been home in awile since I'm in the NAVY, and what is happening to the other restaurants?

I was told it is a home cooking type of restaurant, where they make pretty much everything from scratch. The other restaurants are still going on. There is also a new bakery in Adelphi where Movie Magic was before it moved to the old Adelphi grocery building.

that's good, the last time i was home, dad took me to the old town diner, i asked for biscuits and gravy and it was terrible, my 7 year old twins didn't even like it(i make it homemade almost every weekend here in Virginia), found out it was from a can :( glad to see someone really cooks again.

I have lived here for about 10 years and i know what place you are talking about the wintersong village is in front of elementary school in laurleville it has the sign right in front of the house . The Ridge Inn is on the corner of Thompson Ridge and what some call 56 I call it Pike Street . I just herd about the Haunting my self tonight my neibor was telling me bout places in Laurleville that is haunted and i guess if anyone knows about this tell me please the posy pot right in the middle of the five way stop is a ghost of a headless man at the top of the flag pole pelase get back to me i would like to know about it

A headless man?...I wonder what the story is behind this is as well. I have heard a lot about hauntings in Laurelville here lately.I would also like information on other hauntings. Is it Laurelville area or just rumors going around?
