The only morons are the ones who are not sympathetic. I knew this man personally and I for one think that the world has lost a wonderful man. People shouldn't talk about what they don't know. My prayers are with this family at this time. Only God Can Judge remember that!!!!

It's a terrible thing to say, but at least Mr. Cordle didn't take a gun home and blow his whole family away. What kind of world do we live in when this act becomes admirable -- so many men go after schools, restaurants, families and THEN kill themselves.

My prayers are with his family, he must have been in a really bad place in his life to have done something so harsh to himself. :*(

You know that it would be untrue
You know that I would be a liar If I were to say to you I didn't set your house on fire But it's just the way I am You'll have to take it for a fact Life can really burn you up When you're a pyromaniac If you love somebody Better set them on fire I went to your house last night Your dad called me the human torch Got a little pissed at him so I burned down your front porch Now I feel a little bad About pouring gas on your dad But you know it's hard to quit And besides he started it CHORUS I just bought a brand new lighter And I cannot wait to use it Oily rags are special things You know to me they're diamond rings Maybe we can have some fun Maybe we can burn someone CHORUS |

Russell was a great man no one should judge him you don't know what that man was thinking or what he went through in life. And wether or not you wouldn't ever do something that extreme or even kill yourself doesn't matter. What matters is that this man has a little girl he left behind and a loving family that I personally knew and with all his problems in life Russell would be one of the first men to sit down and try to help another and figure out their problems and kept his all a secret I would have never thought in a million years he'd do this. He seemed like he had it all together well together enough this was unexpected by all yeah in the end times were hard for him very hard but to go this far was beyond anyone. People that judge this man and talk bad of him makes you no better than the person you're try to bad mouth. Your thoughts about him are irrelavant. Out of all the things you said was you called a dead man an idiot whom that you have not a clue of who he was or what he went through. When really all you should be doing is praying for this man's soul to be sent to heaven because he has now passed away and it's obvious he wasn't in the right state of mind. And for you to say he was selfish further lets me know you're the idiot because trust me if you knew him you'd know he'd never hurt a fly. there is a little girl who is as precious as can be who loved him soooo very much that has just had her whole world flipped upside down. Think about that instead PRAY FOR HER AND HIS FAMILY. Where are all the good people in this world. Because I promise anyone who is reading this Russell Cordle was a GOOD MAN and it's a shame if you didn't get a chance to know him personally you really missed out. That man help save my marriage layed his hands on my husbands and my own shoulders and prayed to God with us to make us stronger. We spent nights crying and talking and he was always there never asking for anything in return. R.I.P. Russell you are dearly missed and loved and will forever live on. May God be with you!!!

Isn't killing oneself a sin according to the Bible? I hope you are right a d this one thing will be overlooked when tim is ultimately judged by god himself. it's not for me to do that. Just wanted to ask that question. |

Hurting yourself is one thing. Potentially hurting others is another. If he was by himself, I might have a different attitude but he could have hurt innocent bystanders not to mention cost someone their business.

I hear a lot about the dude who torched himself but have not seen a single comment about the heroic actions of the fire department and the employees at the store who had the mental where with all to kill the gas pumps.
This dude is dead and gone - however for those who are still alive I am personally grateful for the FD, the employees of the store and the efforts of the burn unit. All of this Bible and God talk ought to be centered on the thankfulness of those three groups rather than the simple minded bickering I see here. Without thankfulness you are hard pressed to call yourselves Bible believers or even Christians. Perhaps Jeremiah Wrights church is more suited to that mentality. |

Does anyone think that his restaint order that his wife charged him with resulted in this. obvious he killed himself, just wonder if that one charge did it to him

First of all, learn the english language not ebonics. If you wnt to slam on the guy for what he was saying make sure it can be understood. Can't understand ghetto talk. |

1 Do you think you could e-mail me personally and tell me about him? I was one of the witnesses that night st the gas station. My boyfriend saw the van go up in flames, tried to open the doors bu they were locked, and when he saw the pump in the window he ran inside and told the attendant to shut the pumps off. I was the one who called 911 at that point and we didn't think anyone was inside the van because my boyfriend couldn't see him since he was laying on the floor. My boyfrined feels guilty eventhough he burned his hand trying to get inside the van and singed his arm hair off from the fire. I keep telling him he did everything he could and Mr. Cordle obviously locked himself inside and layed down so that no one could get him, but I would like to know a little about him as a person since it still haunts me. When you witness something like that, it helps to know about that person I think. I'm very sad about what happened and although it makes me angry that he chose to do this at the gas station and my boyfriend could have been seriously hurt (if not killed) by his actions, I still feel for him deeply and understand he must have been in a lot of pain to do something so drastic. Anyway, I would be very grateful. My e-mail address is redheadshavemorefun81@yahoo.co m. Thank you. Amanda Barker |
