I would like to start by applauding Confluence fire company for their extra efforts for our small town. From someone who has been at the mercy of our volunteers I can say they are a dedicated group of people. Many towns have already banned trick or treating related to safety but Confluence fire co. still provides that fun for our children. I was thinking if anyone ever considered asking them to do it on Saturday afternoon instead of Friday night. I understand that Halloween is at night, supposed to be scary but parents pay usually a good price for costumes and local neighbors or visitors decorate. Why not show them off? The majority of our town is older adults and would enjoy seeing the kids in their costumes plus the added benefit of safety for our kids with less destruction from our underachieved during the day. We wouldn't have to use the porch light to see a giving house we could come up with something unique. Just checking to see what others thought.
