About the same as usual, nothing out of the ordinary happened. Right now things at work are a little slow cause the farmers are in between crops, but it'll pick back up when the corn and beans come in, and then the cotton. Our sales will pick up. Now it's just routine stuff like oil changes and tire repairs, and of course trying to cheer up customers who want to complain about the gas prices to us!

How are the farmers doing over there? A lot of the corn around here is damn near just gone because of the drought, farmers won't be making much this year. I expect everything to skyrocket, I'm sure.

Our farmers are getting about a third of the corn per acre they normally get. Its rough on em. Soybeans ought to do some better.
Yawl ever been to a granary where corn for ethanol is processed? I had to go to one the other day, I stepped out of my truck and smelled whiskey real strong! Man working there said the corn had to ferment for ethanol just like it does for alcohol. I swear a man could get drunk off the fumes! LOL

Hopefully next year should be alot better. Well the 2ND POSTER strikes again as I take the lead. Wow! I'm winning for now! Speaking of "Wow!": Wow! The "Last Post Wins!" Management is sure getting ready for a large crowd for this year's 4TH LPW! Land anniversity party ( The "LAST POST WINS!" on OFFBEAT") on Tuesday August 14TH (and an alternate date of Saturday August 18TH for those that can't make it on a weekday). I sure hope that you can make it to one or both of those dates.

Well the Party was a success, thanks everyone for coming.
Now it's time for the weekend to be coming. Does anyone have any out of the ordinary plans for this weekend. Over here, there will be an old car show about 30 miles south of here, and street rods and motorcycles as well. I'm hopeing to go to that this Saturday.
Whats happening in Chicago this weekend. Any 26.2 mile runs, or did the river turn green? I've always wanted to see that. Been to Chicago 3 times now for vacations.(An one not counted return trip from Florida to Kansas where they had us going thru the Chicago hub instead of Atlanta hud) where weather got bad when we were getting to Chicago and had to spend the night at the O'Hare airport.

Yes the "Last Post Wins!" type threads all around the U.S.A. are some of the best places to meet with very friendly people. I finally got my Jeep fixed, it woyld shake bad crossing train tracks at speeds over 40 MPH on the highway. I'm so happt now. I delayed the repairs for months thinking it would cost an arm and a leg, but it turned out to be not too costly.

Hey Mustang, what kinda day have you had? Being a Monday and the first day back at work after a week off I thought it would be a hard day but it wasn't, everything went real smooth. Everybody I had to deal with today seemed to be in the best mood, I think its the cooler weather making us all less irritable. I know I sure like it when it gets back down to the 60s and 70s.

Hey CA, glad you got your jeep fixed and it didn't cost as much as you thought it would. I know you enjoy it. I had a little Suzuki Samari (I know I aint spelling that right) a few years back and I sure had fun with it.
