i worked at peckers bar in ashley for over a year. these accusations are absured. the neighbors harrassed workers and owners of the bar before the bar even opened for business. when this bar used to be mudd's memories, i could hear the music at my house two blocks away. mr. mudd had speakers on the outside of his bar that played the music on the jukebox, and he also had bands outside his establishment. then there were no complaints because of the friendship between the neighbors and mr. mudd. the pelczynskis, owners of peckers, have made every effort to meet the requests of these neighbors. there are no longer speakers on the outside of the establishment, and they have not had one band outside the bar. when they receive a complaint about the noise, the jukebox is turned down to a reasonable volume. these neighbors are just ridiculous.

Your comments are not entirely true, first of all not everything has been done to lower the sound level. More than once the owners of the bar promised to insulate the building, this was never done. Second, the music was only turn down when someone from the sheriff's office called and informed them they would be visiting Peckers because someone had complained. Third, I have witnessed harrassment from some of the patrons of the bar, although I don't believe that the owners sanctioned this behavior.

I have been bothered from time to time by the music and the cussing and shouting from the outside area. I would go over to the bar an informed them, some of the time this would work, when it didn't my wife and I had to go with the house.

I do not blame entirely the owners, mostly I blame the mayor -liquor commission of Ashley. When the bar first opened the community attended the town council meeting and asked the mayor to meet with the owners or at least send a letter informing them of the community grievances. She refuse and had never taken any action to help. As the mayor and liquor commission personal friendship should not influence her sworn duties. Her attitude in the ordead has been unprofessional and by not taking a stand she is responsible for this whole situation.
