It is a BIG DEAL if someone is injured or killed as a result of drinking and or drinking and driving. Just ask any family members whose relatives' lives were snuffed out due to bad choices made by others who didn't think drinking was a big deal. |

Sounds like someone didn't get a fraternity bid. |

Would you care to elaborate on that? I think we would all be interested. |

There are two that made today's headlines that the cops didn't arrest soon enough. I guess I'm just getting old - don't have patience for drunks and their "adventures" anymore.

There are many serious responsible students at SU and every college or university. However, on the weekends you will most likely find them at home, working part-time at Walmart to help pay for there education and on the internet preparing their classwork for the coming week.
Like Gresham's Law that bad money drives out good money, bad students drive out good students. I worked for 20 years at an undergraduate coed college and the sensible students left for home on Thursday and returned on Monday. This was because the dorms were so undesirable from bathrooms filthy from vommit snf rowdy drunks staggering sll over and threatening the residents. I have seen stoned students walk though plate glass doors and run off into the night leaving a trail of blood. The library had to hire and armed guard to keep out the drunks and other creeps so that real students could study in safety. This element of the college community can find the bucks for booze and drugs but it complains bitterly about tuition raises and expect that taxpayers to dig into their pockets to raise additional funds. Drunken adolescents tend to become very mobile and head for anything with wheels and an engine and become a menace to sober drivers. Enough of this youthful indiscretion nonsense. If we can expect an 18-year-old soldier to desport him/heself appropriately, we can expect it from an 18-year old civilian receiving a state subsidized education. |

Were the cans blue and red? There's the problem.
