Why don't they boycott these 5 states, which still fly elements of the confederate flag?

It would have seemed that slave ownership was still the norm in beautiful SC, if you listened to the political grand standing and the media. They all are weighing in on the call for the removal of a confederate flag , which flies on a small historic monument on the SC State House grounds. The official flag of South Carolina does not contain any element of the confederate flag, yet these politicians want history rewritten by removing the Confederate flag from an historic monument. Why? Should we only remember selective periods of history?

How about the rest of the story. There are five (5) southern states that still display elements from the Confederate Flag on their official state flags. These include the official flags of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Arkansas, and Mississippi. Why no boycott of these other states? Shouldn't they already know about these other states? This is strange...

If the NAACP wants to boycott then by all means do so, but go all the way and boycott the black biker rally that ruins Memorial day weekend each year. I don really expect these clowns to boycott a party though!

Now I see the North Carolina NAACP is in on the action regarding South Carolina and the flag issue. I may be wrong, but wasn't North Carolina just as involved in the "War Of Northern Aggression" along with her sister South Carolina? Many believe their continued loyalty to the North during the time of war excluded them from Sherman's murderous wrath. Thank God , we still have proud white South Carolinians who will love, respect and defend their homeland. Obviously, North Carolinians hold nothing dear to thier heart not even their patriots who fought and died for them.

I am from North Carolina and am proud to say that my ancestors from this great state gave more soldiers to the Confederacy than any other state. The first person killed in the war between the states was a confederate soldier from North Carolina. More soldiers from North Carolina died in the Civil War (for the Confederate cause) than any other state from the North and the South.

So before you go bashing my state and say that North Carolina was and is void of defending the Confederate flag, you need to get your facts straight. More North Carolinians have died for that stars and bars Confederate flag that flies over that historical monument in S.C. than any other group of people from every other state in the country.

I take pride in the flag myself, and honor it with great respect and emotion. I think it should be flown wherever it can be. I respect and honor the men that died for that flag and I particularly have a place in my heart for all of my North Carolina brothers that fought and died for the very flag that many people today consider repulsive.

The NAACP is garbage. They make money bashing and hurting white people. They are not worthy of the Confederate flag's presence.

Don't degrade North Carolina in regards to service and loss. If it wasn't for what North Carolina gave and did, the south wouldnt have made it as long or as far as they did period.
