This shows how far we have deteriorated as a society. While I laud these young men for their caring & compassion, which is becoming more & more rare these days, what they did was what any decent human should do. The current sentiment is that anyone that shows any decency is so far above the rest of society they are considered heroes.

I'm glad everyone is safe and healthy. What really takes away from the article is the fact that the ages of the heroes are clearly stated at the beginning of the article, yet the writer repeatedly refers to them collectively as "teens". When did 20 and 23 year people become teens? Merry Christmas from the PP... yet another good story destroyed by a poorly written article.

I thought it was interesting that they just happened to decide to take a different route home that particular night. I think these "earth angels" were guided by some heavenly ones. Good job gentlemen! You were exactly where you were supposed to be.

THANK GOD FOR GOOD PEOPLE

Today there are oh so many more people that are takers than givers- always waiting for someone to do something for them, those who it would never be a thought in their mind about stopping to help someone. Those who constantly think about themselves - "The ME people" it's all about them - and what they can get - we all know people like that. Unfortunately.

But then there are the people like these 3 nice young men - and the many others who like them, without a doubt would do whatever they can to help another person.

Thank you Chris, Michael and Jared - I hope that your lives will be blessed and I hope that you continue to exhibit this type of nobility, generosity and courage that you did that Saturday night throughout your life, because we need more people in this world like you!

God Bless You!

The story reads "two men and a teenager". Perhaps this was poorly read by you??

WRONG! The headline is fine, the body of text is flawed.

TKK - I have to agree with RoughRider50 - while their actions are commendable it is sad to see that what should construed as normal, humanitarian behavior become and few and far between event.

This is just a nice story where someone is still here at christmas who otherwise would not be because of these young men's efforts. Sure it was a stroke of luck that put them in a position to help, but c'mon man. It's hardly a verdict on the derision of society.

1st of all the story wasn't written by the PP it was written by: By Tim Ruzek
Rochester Post-Bulletin
Also mr Ruzek mentioned the "3 teens" once - not repeatedly as you had mentioned. It was a mistake - made by him yet their editors also did not catch it.
The people of the Press are human too - We all make mistakes including me and including you....and
I hope we all have a nice holiday no matter what kind of crap is going on (smile)

With all the bad things we read everyday about teens killing, robbing and drug dealing these days, it sure is nice to read a story about these kids!

Great Job!!!

From the story:

"So the THREE TEENS hustled back to the truck and drove the route back to the car, finding Robert Nobles along the same roadway;" Emphasis mine.

Seems like an oversight by the writer. No need to get snarky.

Let's just take it for what it is worth. Some people have decided to rip the journalism, others don't seem to think that this is special. Remember the parable that Jesus told about the Good Samaritan? What the Samaritan did wouldn't have seemed very special to some of you. Merry Christmas! Thanks and congratulations to these young people.

You're correct there.......I threw away my rose colored glasses a long time ago, right after I started reading newspapers.

Daily Horoscope for December 10

Capricorn

Someone is in a finger-wagging mood and unfortunately they seem to be concentrating on you! Maybe they think you've fallen from grace for some reason, or perhaps you're simply the only person who happens to be around when they feel like letting off steam. Do your best not to fall into an equally critical and disgruntled mood, because it will soon make you feel wretched.
