Bianchi submits recount petition

I for one have complete faith in the electoral process and believe that the best man won. Bianchi will not see my signature on his petition.

lINDA TYER HAD BETTER NOT SAY A WORD ABOUT COST. HER APPOINTMET TO THE CITY CLERK'S POSITION TRGGERED AN UNNEEDED SPECIAL ELECTION. AND THAT GOES FOR RUBERTO, ALSO. HE CAUSED THE SPECIAL ELECTION.
BIANCHI HAS EVERY RIGHT TO REQUEST THE HAND COUNT.

He has EVERY right to ask for a Recount. You dont think that JR would ask for a recount if it was the other way around. He would have done the Same think and ask for a recount.
And it's that Nice that JR is in Florida and unavailable for comment. SO much for leading the City of Pittsfield, how can he do that from Florida!! Real nice, we need a REAL leader that will be here Full time, NOT running off to other States!

Give the guy a break. He needs to monitor his expensive condo project in Florida, doesn't he?
Perhaps, if JR had nut run such a dirty campaign, people would not be so suspicious that he also tampered with votes. Given the profound lack of ethics, which Ruberto has frequently demonstrated, a recount is totally justified.

i think he's gonna do it. Bianchi is going to win after the recount. That just shows how tough he is sticking it out to the bitter end. I'd like to see Ruberto doing that.

New Mayor for the City. In your face.

Pittsfield IS going to move forward in a positive manner, led by re-elected Mayor Jim Ruberto. Unfortunately, Dan is going to have the city waste untold dollars on a recount. When the dust settles, Dan will get to lose for a second time in the same election, but at least the City Council will still get a two year "Bianchi free" run.

I'm not going to get into more and more times Ruberto has and does robbed the taxpayers. A recount is a right. End of story. When I voted, there was some type of problem at the polls, where , when other people went to vote, they were asked to go to another table and fill out a yellow sheet because of a problem. Mr.Bianchi has the right and to me, his duty, knowing the problems, to ask for a recount. Get over it. Going back and forth throwing stones dos not take away the fact, that, it IS HIS RIGHT. Go for it Mr.Bianchi. You have the right and it is supported by this voter
Also some voters who had said problem,did NOT VOTE ! For they were mad and already had to wait in line.Some ended up leaving instead, now thats not to say they did'nt vote at all. They may have returned later, when they had more time to fix whatever problem there was and fill out the yellow sheet. But I know for a fact, some opted to leave after waiting in line so long

Hello!!! The people counting the votes get $8.00 and hour, please it is not going to cost anywhere near what it cost for the City Clerk to get in!!!

Since we do not know how far Ruberto's tendrils of corruption may reach, unless this recount is being performed and supervised by an independent group with no ties or interest in Pittsfield politics, how much confidence can we have in the recount results?

Let's see...Linda Tyer...Ruberto's puppet is in charge of the recount...yea that'll work out well. This city's corrupt as they come. Ruberto's a crook, the Eagle's his mouthpiece, the good ole boy network rolls on. More decisions come from Newell St than Allen St.
Can't wait for the 'new super high school' built on Petricca's land, with Maxy as the contractor, and Allegrone putting up the building, Comalli will wire it and Ruberto's pockets will get filled!

I have to concur.I too,am concerned with Tyer being in charge of the recount!

Good for Dan. Its time people stand up to the big machine which has been running the city. It is clear the people of Pittsfield want to restore the city for the future.
When your local staff writer references the middle salute to voters interest it is clear the big machine was heard by the tax payers who took the time to vote. After the election Dan is still representing the voters.
Pittsfield needs a Mayor who listens and not salutes to the community.

Go Dan~! Win or lose you so deserve a recount. I won't be at all surprised if you win. The counting should be carefully monitored by a neutral party.Even if you don't end up the winner let me say thank you for running.

In the article it said the city received approx imately 600 absentee votes. That almost 5% of the ballots cast. Seems alot to me, I would sure like to review them myself...
