Regardless of the fact that the eagle is poor at reporting facts I don't think the state police would bring charges of this magnitude against one of their own with out solid proof. So we'll see won't we? It seems these days the burden to prove ones innocense is up to oneself. Not the state to prove the guilt as it should be. Public opinion is always a big player.

i agree, & it's too bad that it has come to this.
threads like these (where the you-know-what is being thrown every which way) don't help. no matter what happened, he still has a right to his day in court ... what he does with it is his choice.
he'll either make a plea or go to trial.

The only way he will be found innocent in this case is if the boys in blue fail to do their job. IF that happens then the Adams PD and the State Police will be the subject of what should be a thorough investigation. I don't see that happening for the fear of what other skeletons are in the closet. The Adams PD I'm sure was aware of the investigation from the start and did nothing to hide the individuals activity so I don't see them covering it up by any means.

seems everyone here knows EXACTLY what happened & has this man tried and convicted.
why bother even wasting the time & money trying him in court when everyone just KNOWS he's guilty.
in fact, why don't we just get rid of the court system all together!
here's my plan:
if someone's arrested, we'll just read the newspapers (because we all KNOW they report everything 100% accurately) & consult the town rumour mill (because your friend's cousin's husband knows a guy who knows a guy who knows the wife of a retired Adams cop ... and THAT information is totally on target too).
the police can then read topix to see what everyone thinks, & then set the defendant free or punish him/her accordingly.

Don't mind me. On another note I can't wait to see what juicy secrests come out and who he takes down with him.
