Just want to send prayers to the family of Pastor Tom Hammond's family,Tom lost his life last night in a auto accident,He was a true Man of GOD.Pastor Tom was a past minster of Kent City Bapist for many years,and was currently ministering at the Jail minsteries of many areas.RIP,friend

It wasn't another guy, it was a mom and her 2 daughters who were very seriously injured and in very critical condition.

It was an accident.

God calls everyone home, just not in the way we want him to.

I remember it now ... how are the mom and kids doing? Hear anything lately?

What a tragic accident. I haven't heard any updates, but I will certainly say a prayer for everyone involved.

I know it was an accident, he may not have seen the stop sign. Some of the stop signs have trees and other things around them so you can't see them very well. I am very sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings by my comment.

They were all prayed for in our congregational prayers yesterday morning. How sad.

Tom was the bus driver for my son's special needs bus. He was the most amazing, caring man. I have cried all morning. He wasn't afraid to share Jesus with people. He took such great care of my son and loved him. We will miss you so much, Tom.

Hey, I apologize for my earlier comment about Pastor Tom running the red light. I know it was an accident. Even though God wanted him more, it's still very tragic.

Yes, they do.

I live close by this intersection. It isn't a red light. There's a stop sign at Wilson. About 6 weeks ago there was another horrible accident there. I've lived out here for 30 yrs. and I can't tell you how many fatalities occur at this intersection. My son lost a friend there.
I know the woman and her family. Prayers to all families involved.
I think the county needs to put a flashing light there or rumble strips.

If Tom were alive his first concern would not be for himself it would be for those who were injured. He would be more upset other were hurt then himself. I hope that the other family has the opportunity to be blessed by those who were blessed by Tom and that some of the people who knew Tom reach out to this family and helps them now in their time of need.
