Six people have been arrested for allegedly operating an illegal massage parlor out of a house in Cherokee County.
The arrests followed a six-week investigation and a raid Thursday on the house on East Cherokee Drive in the Hickory Flat community, said Sgt. Jay Baker, spokesman for the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department.

• Cherokee County news Charges against the suspects ranged from pimping to masturbation for hire and illegal drug possession.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, investigators seized $15,000 in cash, a laptop computer, marijuana and heroin while executing a search warrant at the house, which advertises its services on Craigslist.com .
Two customers were at the house at the time, but were not immediately charged, the sheriff’s department said.
Arrested were: Terri Confer, 55, of Woodstock on charges of pimping and keeping a place of prostitution; Cheri Phillips, 53, of Woodstock, on felony charges of possession of heroin and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute; Annie Walker, 43, of Kennesaw, on charges of masturbation for hire, unlawful massage and giving a false name to law enforcement; and Deborah Ingram, 42, of Kennesaw, Carla Fortner, 44, of Dallas, Ga., and Jennifer Adams, 22 of Acworth, all on charges of masturbation for hire and unlawful massage.
