well said bill, most important thing about topix is to get some info on current events that interest our readers, here we all have interest in the casinos in NJ, we learn from each other what's happening, what's the views they have, and most important interact with each other.
When it comes to the insults there's a few on here that disrupt everything on purpose, "DON" to "Smoke Free casinos" but they are not here to share what they know, they are here because no one wants to listen to them outside the forum.
I aM sure Bill you and JA and slot lady amongst others are the type of people who could strike up decent conversation in a casino with anyone sitting next to you, as for the others they probably grunt and make faces when someone sits near them at a casino.

GOOD FORTUNE = THANKS for the compliment and to add to what you said about slot players = i also do not like the person ( and
ethnic women are most guilty of this) that has to incude everyone
in the surrounding area in her conversations to the machine she is
playing and tries to get everyone involved in her invoking the LORD for a big hit so she can feed her babies and pay the rent = I try to leave the area unless i am on a roll, and other players get up & move also. I think its just plain rude low-class behavior.

well there DON, i like when you tell us of your wins, and your wife who wins frequently, you always say learn how to play the slots right and you won't be complaining, perhaps you could expand on that, cause from what i heard there is no way to play slots right except take your wins and run..
as far as saying that you people know nothing about AC, well most of us have been going there for a long time we know the downside of AC but rather then constantly dwelling on it, wouldn't it be more fun to talk about the new promos around :

Your welcome JA, and as for the annoying slot players how about the ones that ask if you can spare some money as your playing your slot machine, or can they place their last $5.00 chip on yours at black jack, cheering you on at first when they see your playing and then hitting you up for money ciggs, or the lady that waves her hand in her face after sitting in the smoking section next to you,
But i find most people enjoyable at the casinos to talk to as long as they are not trying to deliberately interrupt your game.

That just about the jist in winning on Slots,Win Run,Win Cash out,Win Run..Did I say idiots or did you just add that on your own? And a known fact on here is I ALWAYS praise the Borgata,the ONLY decent place left in A/C.Oh, and we have only been going to A/C for 28 years!!!

SUMMER 2003 = so Don what casino/ casinos did you frequent before
Borgata and why did you play all those years in DUMPS as you call

at nightime was notorious for having vagrant looking people going
up & down the aisles looking for winners then sitting down next
to them and begging them for money = hopefully they took care of this problem.

I know when the Borgata opened Stupid.Casinos were Great when they were New.And A/C Casinos were ALL nice before Harrahs took over and Ruined the City.And whats really interesting folks is the Harrahs stock I sold and bought into the Borgata before it opened.

appreciate the day REVEL opens its doors.

turn were acquired by HARRAH'S - the old class act Caesar's lost
out on the deal. thats for sure. the OLD Caesar's was an excellent weekend getaway, won some lost some but great fun & good food,
great giveaways, it used to feel like a second home = all that
is gone now = Borgata used to be good but never emulated the
second home feeling we got out of Caesars - maybe because of its
size and decor - maybe because it was more like a Las Vegas casino.

Now that 2009 is drawing to a close, it would be nice to get some
Feedback from Slot Players on how they did in AC in 2009 - for myself & my wife = we only visited AC once this Year because we had
2 consecutive losses in 2008 and one in 2009 ( all at Borgata)so we
stopped frequenting Borgata - wife did have luck at Caesar's on their free Play money on a day trip with friends. We have been frequenting PA, especially SANDS which is probably one of the nicest & newest casino's in PA = problem is they don't have their own hotel so they have to put you up locally and shuttle you back & forth = much prefer a casino with hotel. Good part however is that it is only one hour 15 minute drive as opposed to 2-1/2 to 3
hours (depending on traffic) to AC so it is very conducive to
day trips and it saves you money if you are not having a good day.
Lets hear from slot players on their AC experience in 2009 ?

We usually visit AC 2 or 3 times a year. This year we made 2 trips. We never win, but judge our success by how much we don't lose. It's all entertainment dollars, we have a great time while we are there and look forward to going back in April.

This year was good for us, didn't lose as much as we normally do! How's that for success?
