I've noticed that when the Borgata has a big promotional give away that the Slots are tighter than normal. One promo that used to hook us in is the 777.00 winner every 7 minutes or 888.00 every 8 minutes. Two things happen: 1. Slots are very tight, can they control them? Makes you go hmmmmm!
2. Never hear any of the winners of the 777.00 or 888.00, jump up, scream or anything. I also went to the place where people were supposedly paid and no one ever shows up? Again, makes you go hmmmmm!
Are the promotions a big hoax? They say the NJ gambling commission watches but hell they are probably paid off too.
Call me paranoid but hey, some things just ain't right.

I will let mty black card expire as well.Maybe the games are similar in all casinos but if if it is not working for us why keep going. The slots are set very quick and can't even get a what they call tod (time on device) Every time I would just keep reaching in my pocket.I can't remember one time over the years I got a win to sustain some playing time? As I stated before AC slots have the same slot program for years. You put in less say a hundred : 5 to 7 oulls with nothing or very little in return next a win to put you back to say 70-80.00 (in my example) and then boom wipe out.Time to go in to your pocket. The crazy thing as a subscriber to casino player magizine the slot chart for ac has borgata paying the most.LIke the promotions WHERE are these winners??
Also I will let the black card run out beacuse 1 the rroms are in need of repair and a better tv 2-tired of the kids parading around.3-not warm staff atitiude in general(actually the maids are the nicest 4-low cealings in casino-1 bar with video poker. In ac here you go.resorts/hilton depressing
tropicana-left along time ago (mall ok) trump plaza and trump marina -depressing and food BAD.Showboat-weird.Only 3 to me worth going ceasars like Jrudda says/tajnew tower and harrahs marina-that is my 2cents

As far as the big brother discussion.I think like any business they try and track what is popular and customer preferences However,I think alot if what was sain sounds like paranoia. In the case of a marker-they don't want to be handing out interest free loans so they warn you a little

Well said BILL / Closter = my wife & i learned the hard way that
the 777 & 888 Promotion weekends are the casino's way of " shooting fish in a barrel" and we also have never seen anyone
hoot, holler or shout that they won , so we have avoided them for
Years - Slot or Bingo tournaments are ditto - all the slot machines
in the casino are tightened up when they know they are going to have a captive audience. You will also note that Borgata did the
5X Cashback only once in 2008 and never repeated it - yes it was
worth going because of the 5X buildup on Slot Dollars but when
we went abck to use them we made NOTHING out of all that slot play.

Hey there JArruda, I remember the 5 x slot dollars last November, i even remember a slot host called me to remind about it. It's really weird that they went out of their way to remind me and invite me to the 5x promo and even the new years eve party with a free room.
This year was a real dud with Borgata, i have been there a few times this year and really nothing is enticing, i think they have bingo? comedy show? and something called mystery dollers offers but as of NOV. DEC. offers it's like they really offer nothing.
Maybe you are right from your previous post about the age group thing, I'm in my late 40's and last time i was there sept, there really was a huge crowd, except one thing, it was all 20 somethings and the slots were sitting dead? All the kids were drinking red bull and shots and hanging at the roulette wheel.
Are they making big money off the sale of rooms and expensive drinks like one big huge bar?
One thing for sure, the Borgata will have to do better once Revel opens because even the kids, i call them kids., will leave the Borgata for something NEW, are they then going to entice us elders back? Ill be in my early 50's by the time revel is finished..then maybe i wont even enjoy AC casinos at that age.

GOOD FORTUNE = i think you might be right about all the 20 somethings migrating to REVEL once it opens because everything
i have seen published about REVEL is that they want to become a DESTINATION and casino gambling is only part of what they will offer, so maybe they will attract the " younger gneration'- that
plus Borgata not being the " in spot' in AC is going to be a problem for Borgata, especially after they have neglected the
" mature generation". " whatever you sew, so shall you reap !"

DON = The Borgata was a great idea when it first started but
everything went SOUTH in 2008 for the following reasons:
(1) the original CEO (who knew how to run a class casino) left
for another job and they put some bean counting chimpanzee in his
place who did away with most of the original things that made bORGATA great and got rid of the previous CEO's staff and replaced them with YES men ( this is from a person who used to be high up
at Borgata).
(2) the Water Club was supposed to be a Family attraction to make
Borgata more of a family destination = well the Borgata does not have a beach, nor a Boardwalk, so we all know how that turned out.
(3) the borgata was one of the first to install the CORPORATE SLOT
MACHINES 1 CENT, 2 CENT 5 CENT = which only benefit the casinos
income because they don't pay out and even slot attnedants are complaining that they are no longer getting tips from winners.
(4) for some reason, the CHIMP running the Borgata thinks 20 year
old are the wave of now & the future and they are catering to these
limited income non slot playing types ? another call which proves
the person knows nothing about casinos.
(5) instead of loosening the machines ( at least slightly ) to attract customers they have practically padlocked them and slot
players who used to win once in a while at Borgata don't win at all anymore.
I think I have covered the major points and I can't wait for REVEL
to open.
p.s.; If Corporate is listening = FIRE the CEO & his staff before its too late - bring in an experienced person who knows customer
relations and hopefully he can turn things around.

Daily Horoscope for January 1

Cancer

Happy New Year, Cancer! Are you ready to put those resolutions into place? Not quite?! Crustaceans are never quite sure just how much they can get away with and where to draw the line. You have a flair for the dramatic and when you're the narrator, your exploits become deeds that would make a knight proud. Your fans know you're a hero, whatever history might prove. Audacity impresses most people but if you go to far you could cause offence.
