The state must be extremely careful when evaluating which services can be outsourced or privatized. Some regulatory services simply should not be outsourced. It creates too much of a conflict of interests. The state has already outsourced some of these services. The resuts have shown that the state will actually be spending more money (contractors do intend to make a profit). In the end, the product or service has been of a much lesser quality.

I agree, but it sure doesn't help when the Chairman of the Streamlining Commission Jack Donahue is himself a contractor, and can't utter a complete sentence without the word "privitize" stuck in it. If anything, members of this commission should be investigated as to wheather they are "connected" to outside privitize companies and if there is a conflict of interest, as in making "side money" in the name of "Fiscal Responsibility" all the while, putting state workers out of a job to further inrich themselves.
