I’ve lived in North Carolina for the last few years, and almost every white trash, redneck person from the Appalachian mountains or a trailer park I’ve met are Republican, whereas almost all of the college-educated people who live in the city vote Democrat, why is this?

Could be that the "white trash" have more common sense, and judging from your post I'm guessing you're a Dimocrat.

Nice try, but your attempt at trying to be cute was quite sophomoric. Anyone knows you go snoopin' around the mountains askin' people their political preference, you end up with a butthole full of buckshot.

A better title for your thread would have been, "Why does every idiot liberal think they're so smart?" I will give you credit, though. You're one of the first on here who defends the liberal agenda that can actually put complete sentences together. There's hope for the party, yet.

I'm sorry but that was one of the best lines I have read all day Jay, kudos. I think that both parties have thier ups and downs, but I will admit it does seem to go hand in hand.

That is because we are not a bunch of limpwristed Liberals who will let just anybody walk on us. The three "G'S" Dude. GOD,GUTS AND GUNS! We have College and couldn't care any less to prove it. And if you look, some of the trailer park is people who live cheap and store up the cash so they don't end up like you in a house they can't afford or have to kill themselves when they lose a job. You have just got to be a Dumb Ass Yankee Liberal.

Jay, I have to agree, I am not sure if they are all born stupid or by watching Fox News they get so confused they can't figure things out. Man alive those people over around Abingdon, VA are really eat up with it, I see them post from "We Are Under Attack" and "Obammy" and just can't imagine anyone being that dumb. I'll bet they still wear bib overalls and go barefooted, talk about two dumb ones!! They still take up for that ignorant Bush and try to say that Palin is smart!!!!!!!

It is amazing to me the people who are dirt poor and can not pay for insurance. These are the very people that would benefit from health care the most, but stand against it. I know 2 people like this. They are republicans who are against free health care but when they get sick they have to run to the emergency room and get free health care anyways. However, when I bring this up to them they feel like they have stuck it to a corporation, not the govt. I am like you Jay, I just don't get it. How can you possibly make less than 100 grand a year and be a republican??? I do know that if I made 100,000 a yr I would certainly be a republican myself. I am proud to be a good southern redneck democrat myself until I get a handsome raise. This raise will come from hardwork and talent. Still if I make enough to become a republican I don't think I could ever deny my fellow man healthcare. There just has to be a place in hell for anyone who will let someone die over money when it could be prevented. Jay, to answer your question:

Hilarious to see the liberal huinsane "boy" worshipers wet their little panties because they can't defend their chosen p O S pResident and his complete failure as a so-called leader.

I expect no less from their kind , oh well , boucher is gone and ain't a damn thing any of them can do to "change" that fact.

huinsane obama is next.

Keep doing what you're doing , he11 , seems they are more obsessed with US than they are Bush & Palin if that's possible. lol

Either way it is fun to watch their wimpy and dingbat responses saying absolutely nothing.

You're right, JR, you really can't fix stupid. I think you make an excellent spokesperson for the Democratic party. Your contradictory statements concerning health care were well constructed and obviously detailed. I like the way you incorporate examples of your two Republican friends who go to the emergency room to seek free medical care and then attack the Republicans for being against "free" health care. How you brought into reality the fact that we already have free health care while still chiding the Republicans for trying to prevent something that already exists was marvelous. You keep preachin' it, man! Absolutely stupendous!!!!!!!!!!

JR you are so right, but you can't talk to these people. It took me a long time to find this out, but most of the people who live in that area are "in-bred" and don't have a very high IQ. They think because they have two cars and a color TV they are rich and think they are better than other people.

Hummm, I always hear one of 2 things..
1) Republicans are rich white folks only concerned about money
2)Rebublicans are poor white trash that are rednecks
Which is it dems?
Well, lets see. What is a "redneck'? A redneck is a term used for people who work and work hard, thus the sun burn on their necks...so of course if they work they are rebublican..it's not like many dems actually work!!!!
Repubs are rich white dudes.....has anyone told Oprah this? Maybe she needs to give her billions to charity so she can be accepted as a true dem....last I saw a report on it over 40 of the Forbes list of 100 richest people in USA where dems.....Anyone heard of Bill Gates...you know the one really rich dude who gives TONS to the dem party...
Stop labeling repubs in such silly manners.....simply tell it like it is...the definition of a rebulican is someone who has high moral standards, beleives in personal freedoms from a small government, tough individuals who believe in work not handouts, people who don't beleive in the masss slaughter of children and most imporatantly they beleive in the RIGHT to DEFEND themselves and have no hesitation to carry a gun.....lololol

Boy oh boy are you mixed up----------there are two kinds of Republicans, the rich and the "Rednecks". The rich wants to stick it to everyone but themselves, they don't want to give anybody else a chance, they don't care who they take it from, young, old, sick, crippled, it doesn't matter, they would steal pennies from a dead man's eyes. Then there is the Rednecks, they are filled with hate and anger and the rich ones fuel their hate with comments about n-----s and q-----s, they lie and say that the Democrats are going to take their guns, Bibles and make them quit preaching on the radio. They are so stupid they eat all that up and vote for the very ones who are making life miserable for them and don't realize what they have done.
Everything that the working class of people have going in their favor has come through the Democrats.
If the working people would come to the senses, register to vote and vote in their best interest, there would never be another Republican in office.

Then how is it that Republicans contribute more monies, by far, than their Democratic counterparts to charity? The Democrats want to defend the poor, but only if the government makes them do it. It says alot about a person who gives to charities without having been told to do so.

The only ties to working people that the Democratic party espouses are the unions. You know, the groups who are responsible for Americans paying about 25 times the price of what a product costs to manufacture. You know, the groups, similar to the teachers union in NY city, that has hundreds of "teachers" who were deemed unfit to teach who congregate in a building and do nothing every day because they can't be fired....all at the taxpayer's expense. I could go on with many more examples of union abuse but I think you get the point.

Many studies have proven that most registered Republicans identify with almost all the core values of the party while most Democrats are drawn to their party because they can identify with only one or two core values synonomous with their party, i.e. marijuana legalization, gay marriage, pro-choice, pro unions, etc. So, to simplify matters, most Republicans are just that, true Republicans, while most Democrats are really pseudo-Republicans with an agenda.

The term red neck refers to the working man, more so the farmer. The red neck reference is to the sunburned on the farmers neck from working long hours in the field to feed the Red doped dipper babies of the left-over hippies of the sixties who sold out their original ideals and philosophy for the mighty dollar.

The others saw that the best way to implement their communist agenda was through the education system. These communist hippies turned in their tie-die and bell bottoms and worked their way up in the ranks of the education hierarchy to become the controlling elitist who control what our children are being taught in the schools today.

While the country’s rural school systems are being influenced by the Godless who have taken up residence in the higher education system, we still have a good foundation of God fearing working class who counter what their children learn in school with proper parenting. Unfortunately for the city people, they are overwhelmed with the high pace and constant bombardment from the small minority who have control of the education system in that the product that they produce from the liberal collages move into the communication industry with this distorted view of the world and a lack of right and wrong.

Those people who work the land and are close to God are more times than not conservative and therefore support the Republican Party that comes closest to their value system.

After the election results all across the country, many conservatives republican and democrat have now come to realize that there is a new party that represents their values much more than the republicans or the democrats. And that is the Tea Party of Southwest Virginia.

It is funny how the left talks about education and freedom of speech, being under attack, because of the conservatives right to voice their opinion. At the same time these same groups are lobbing the congress for laws that would put restrictions on the internet and conservative talk radio.

When it comes to "fairness" the Dimocrats talk a good game. The Republicans however are out on the field making it happen. True fairness is making sure everyone has the same opportunity to try to succeed, not rewarding those who don't at the expense of those who do. True equality means equality of opportunity, not equality of outcomes. Why is this so hard for Dims to understand. It's not exactly rocket science.

In order to understand , you have to have just a wee bit of intelligence which "stupid" people are sorely lacking.

One thing for sure , the dims are not "rocket scientists".

Just read a few "stupid" posts for the proof.

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Capricorn

If you're feeling lonely and vulnerable, it seems as though someone is out to get you. Perhaps you're separated from the people you love and you don't like it. Try not to mope for too long, because there are important things that need your attention. Speaking of which, if you need to do something that you're dreading, you'll feel much better if you can get it out of the way quickly. If you leave it, the very thought of it will drain your energy.
