Texas eyes another isolated rural cult
“If a bunch of adults want to get together and follow some con man and throw their lives away, that's their right in this country”
CLYDE, Texas - Behind guarded, ornate gates at the end of a rural road, a self-proclaimed prophet warns his followers about a dangerous and unclean world outside their West Texas compound. via Chicago Tribune

Why does Texas always seem to get these cults?

Clean up your state Texas!
Don't let this practice over flow into other states! Great job! |

I live in Texas, and I am sick and tired of these "religious" groups being allowed to "congregate" anywhere. Texas is not the only place they are, but, possibly because
there is so much open country in this state, and these "leaders" seem to have unlimited funds, they use deception to aquire land, etc., and coherse, or threaten their "followers" to join them. I am all for our state, and the others, to prosecute these imposters, and perverted people, to the fullest extent of the law. I only hope they are able to stop some of the terrible things that go on in these places. The shame of it all, is the children that are blighted, and lives that are ruined already. Some probably forever. |

Apparently there is big money in these sects or cults. The FLDS has been "Bleeding The Beast" for years and look at what they have. Welfare,Polygamy seem to go hand-in-hand with each other. But do it in the name of Religion!!!

What is it about the Southern States in the US that spawns so many religious nut-bars? Texas seems to attract these self-worshipping 'messiahs', along with their sexual preferences for young girls who consider perverted acceptance to be 'acts of God'.
Jail them! |

They look for big patches of rural isolated patches of land that they can buy under false pretenses and build a "ranch" or "compound" behind locked gates. It's typical for ranches to have padlocked gates, cattle guards and other security measures.
You need to know that the people from the FLDS are not from Texas. They were moved from Utah/Arizona or other places. |

The State Supreme court ruled today that NO CASES OF ABUSE had been found among ANY of the children. None, Zip, Nada, Zero.
No charges, NO arrests, no pending cases, no molestations, nothing. Texas CPS tried to save face and said they might conduct individual investigations, but the Texas Supreme Court said there was nothing to investigate; there ARE NO cases to prosecute individually. What is going on here? The caller was a lie, The Warrant for Barlow was a lie, the broken bones were a lie, the molestation of young boys was a lie, and the underage pregnancies were a lie except ONE who is 17, which is not illegal in Texas. NONE, not ONE, ZERO had previous children. Let me repeat that for you: NONE. Apparently angry? Texas CPS stated they may keep the kids anyway until they can get the DNA tests back, though immediately considered changing their minds after attorneys made formal requests their prosecutions. Authors peddling books on Nancy Grace and Larry King are also being considered for lawsuits and the photos of Warren Jeffs with young brides which were released just yesterday by the same Texas CPS are now being called fakes by graphic designers all across the web. My fellow Americans, what the hell is going on? Some in the Texas judiciary are also calling for state officials to be prosecuted. I hope they are. They seem to be the people who are sick and twisted with perverted minds. Thank God that ruling happened today, because CPS had made a formal request for anal and vaginal speculum probes of EACH child to look for scarring. Do these people serve Satan or what? That story (for those still in denial) was reported on CNN May 28th, 2008 on the Nancy Grace show. Ms. Grace seemed unbothered by such a horrendous life changing event to these young children, smiled, looked into the camera and said. Quote:“They’ll get over it!” I don’t believe I have seen anything like this in my life except this very troubling admission from the FBI which was very recently placed on CNN’s website. http://www.cnn.com/US/9908/25/fbi.waco/index.... Congratulations Zion Ranch for escaping this one alive! If I were a Texan with children, I believe I would move. This eye witness account from http://bills-opinions.blogspot.com/ concerning an FLDS child in custody almost made me cry. “A boy estimated at age 3 walked along a row of cots asking for someone to rock him after he was separated from his mother, one employee wrote. Two CPS workers trailed the youngster taking notes but not helping him. His brother, age 8, eventually took the child into his arms and sat with him in a rocking chair.” |

I do not think these people should be prosecuted or persecuted on the basis of their religion unless they are still pulling the same stunts like they did with Elissa Wall, Flora Jessop, Carolyn Jessop, the Johnson girl and others.
There should be no underage "celestial" marriages, no arranged marriages, no marriages to relatives or even stepdads as is sometimes the case. I hope the older children (boys and girls) are given a say in whether they want to go back to the ranch or not. What happened in Waco was tragic and I believe they wanted to make sure there wasn't another situation like that. Did the leader now say that he won't let CPS or law enforcement on the property again and that they will have to force their way on to the property? The next time (if there is a next time) it could end up like Waco if the male leaders take the women and children hostage. |
