Residents, if you want Council meetings to be productive and NOT filled with Ms. Shearer's antics, be sure to go to the polls and voter her OUT! Enough is enough!

Deb Shearer is everything that is wrong with local politics. She is more concerned about having power than she is about using it properly. She needs to go so that the town can move forward and not backward.

I found it necessary to comment on the posting by "just don’t understand” Sami Slusser played a major role in the handling of the sale of the Abbottstown Water Authority to York Water. This saved Abbottstown the potential of $800,000.00 -$1,000,000.00 just for replacement of the existing well and needed infrastructure repairs. That expenditure does not guarantee we could even find a good new well.$800,000.00 by 450 property owners. You figure it out. I could go into the efforts she put in to give Abbottstown the best police protection in the state. I'll save that for another time.
By any standards Sami Slusser did more then should be expected of anyone. She again deserves a "thank you" not ridicule.

This is not the only thing certain persons with last name of Shearer are spreading through our small town. I do believe the informed people can and do realize Shearer is nothing but a bag full of lies and deciet for her own personal satisfaction. She is also spreading her half truths about taxes being raised for the Square Beautification Project, which no tax increase at all is in the budget for this. Also she claims last year we went over budget which is also not true, but in fact around $ 8,000 more came in than went out in total (sorry but I do not have the exact amount). And if there was any one single reason it was over budget one only needs to look at all the mileage reimbursent, meetings and her $ 600.00 she collected for being a Council person. Yes, she was the ONLY PERSON WHO COLLECTED A DIME FROM THE BOROUGH. This person that does nothing but disrupts all she contacts NEEDS TO GO.

I can see why you name is "just don't understand"... Slusser did many things for this Boro including key role in the sale of our failing water system, one that we all know for years was failing and infrastructure updates would of cost upwards of 1 MILLION DOLLARS from the taxpayers to upgrade - instead we received $ 750,000.00 from the sale.... also she was key in making sure our town has Police coverage from EARP. Yes, this remains the highest cost to our budget - over 1/3 but how would you like to live without coverage, and what about the businesses being protected.

Get real, you are out of touch if you think Slusser is not an ASSET to our town.
