DATS ALL GOOD, Thanks for the update. Certainly the Mayor is concerned about the direction of the VCOA and it's leadership. Hiring in house should not be considered, Board Members should remain steadfast in wanting to hire someone with an education, great representation, and integrity. I hope the board is sincere in wanting to hire someone with an education. Surely there can't be an employee there now with an accomplished education, for if there is the former director would have been replaced over a year ago. Someone has to be a VOICE for the Elderly. DATS ALL GOOD, Is the board still under the guidance and leadership of the same President that was under scrutiny at one time or another. Can't think of the name. I am asking because you mentioned the last meeting. If the now President is the same, what good is the President to the VCOA, he did not recognize the failures of formers Director or pretended to be blinded by the truth and ugliness, I am just trying to understand (if it is the same president) how are they qualified to interview people of prestige and of great quality and eduacation.

Dats all good. Many citizens have very and many interesting ideas for the VCOA. Perhaps the board will hear the voice of the people of this Parish and bring someone in for the Agency that will implement new ideas for the seniors. Who's receiving the resumes for new Director? I am told that educated citizens with degrees applied for position. But trust is not among some of the Board Members in the public's eyes, is the outside talk, will all applicants have opportunity for interview.

Dats All Good... Fuuny chat you had with the elderly ladies but interesting. Intriguing really. Umm got me asking questions. Appoint someone already in place ummm...that is scary. That would indicate that their teacher, their leader, was the former director, and sometimes it doesn't take very long to pick up on bad habits. I don't think so. A new director, educated Director will definitely bring character and qualifications to VCOA, intelligence that will allow him/her to discuss issues with the board. If you should have supper with them elderly again please advise them that it is in the best interst of the VCOA to hire from the outside. Appoint?????? Curious now. Really curious. VCOA deserve good , deserve better. Start new. Appoint, if that happens there should be an out pour from the entire Vermilion Parish shouting "No Not This Time".

Resumes are rolling in. Impressive resumes is the word used when discussing them. There is a concern as to whether or not the president of the board will share them with the committee or pick and choose who's resume shall be reviewed and considered. Guess this is a wait and see situation. Very sad day when trust is a concern for an agency that has a duty to serve the seniors.
