Seems to me as if the creep kind of deserved it. Don't know the specifics, but I couldn't help but beat a child killer either; thats why I'm not a police officer because I don't think I have that much restraing. If it had been me, I probably would have really hurt the guy.

No you don't know and you're obviously NOT smart enough to have read the entire article.

I did read the entire article and I did not see a single shred of proof that he didn't kill the boy beyond his own denial. Nor do I see anything pointing to a plausible explanation of why the boy died. 3 year old boys do not accidently kill themselves with plastic bags. He may not have down it but your blind acceptance of his denial is ridiculous and naive at best. Oh I get it, he is just another innocent victim of the man. I worked in a prison once, everyone there is innocent don't you know..

This is typical of the Chicago Police. Beat the crap out of someone and then ask questions later.

To take that kind of pounding for 3 days may indicate he probably did not do it which casts reasonable doubt hence the defendants acquittal.

Just in case you missed it in your civics class, an acquital does NOT prove innocence, it just means there wasn't proof beyond reasonable doubt. Guilty people are found innocent ALL OF THE TIME!!!!

It's better to remain silent and let others wonder if you're a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

Please do us all a favor and remain silent.

This happens more than you can ever imagine. It's sad and probably impossible. But all murder convictions need to be reviewed. One by one. Especially when it involves poor minorities that have no legal representation.

I was born and raised on Chicago's South Side, the Chicago Police are the pitts but here in California it's not a safe haven for anyone Black trust me suits mean nothing to the cops here. DWB (driving while black) is still a large problem with a place like SF who love to tell people they are diverse. Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong!

Because you know when a criminal says he was beaten by the police it must be true, no one would ever lie about that. Especially nowadays when the city pays out anyone with a complaint.

Even though he was cleared of the murder charges, shouldn't there be some type of negligence charge for leaving a plastic bag on the child's bed WHILE HE WAS IN IT?

That is what should happen to murderers! Even if he was innocent for this one, I'm sure he did something wrong to deserve this whipping! God bless the POLICE!

what police brutality exists is encouraged by cowardly lawyers in robes who created a legal system that gets it wrong ....... much of the time.

I hope Mr. Robinson wins his lawsiut. No one deserves a beating while in Poloce custody. The officers involved should all be fired. including the captain of the Precinct.

In case you forgot, this is the United States that you live in and the police are peace keepers not the judge and jury also. Maybe you don't have the self control to restain yourself, but officers of the law should. It's the law of the land.
