1 Yes you were....with the "dear". And you're doing it again.....sweetie. And yes, you could've ignored my post. What the hell does that have to do with the fact that you did respond and it was patronizing ? Your logic is baffling. You weren't trying to help me out. I was trying to help the name callers see that regardless of the context, name calling only diminishes the one doing it. Instead of maturely acknowledge my logical post you immaturely try to rationalize the name calling. Grow up...honey. Name call and insult beyond belief ? Me ? Where ? |

1 Alright, I've gone through enough of these to see your point; there are plenty of us on BOTH sides that are guilty of demonizing the opposing side. However, this does not excuse the sweeping generalization that you made earlier. You implied that everyone on the pro-choice side of the aisle is "hate-filled" when you replied to "quid-pro-quo." I'm sorry if you feel that the Catholic church is getting an unfair drubbing here, but the truth of the matter is, "Time moves forward," no matter what your system of beliefs happens to be. Do you still believe that Galileo was wrong, and that a Geocentric view of the Solar System is valid? C'mon Ink! I don't mind fencing with you at all, but seriously...you can do better than this! |

1 He called the statement made stupidity. That's a far cry from the "uneducated azzhole, dumbass, up yours", etc personal attacks. |
||||
Not me. That's the impersonating 'quid pro quo'. The hazards of not registering I guess. Believe or not....it's up to you, but that was not me. |
||||
I already admitted maybe not all. Maybe I missunderstand you and I hope so but are you saying that the Catholic religion is outdated and not relevant or even valid? |

1 I will admit that this study is interesting. However I will keep an eye out for any future studies on this phenomenon. There could be some early development of hearing going on that is not as understood as first thought. There is still much to be studied before any definitive conclusions can be reached. It looks like what the researchers are looking at is whether the fetus is being harmed or not. Not whether the fetus can understand the noises. The fetus as far as I can tell from the article is not responding in an intelligent, but rather in a reflexive manner. I think you were, or perhaps are, trying to prove that a fetus can act in a intelligent manner that is more than a reflex. A reflex does not denote, nor is it indicative, of awareness. |

1 No, I've not said that Catholicism is outdated or irrelevant. When I brought up Catholicism in my post I was trying to address the persistent attitude that "nothing-is-wrong," whenever something calls their interpretation of Scripture into question. |

1 The pro lifers have brought logical and rational facts that prove abortion is wrong, it is killing a baby in the womb, a life with potential but you pro aborts just hide behind the law that has decriminalized it. |

1 I'm not really trying to prove anything. It's just interesting to see that as technology improves with ultrasound and other studies, we can see ,if you're honest, that these are little human beings and maybe we should think differently than we did 2000 years ago or even 200 years ago. Maybe abortion should be an absolutly last resort after all other options are exhausted. |
